The rooms were very clean and met our every need. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful greeting us with delicious home-made cheesecake and later in the evening homemade cherry liquor. The balcony is large and peaceful and the views from the balcony are to die for. Bike rentals and a small supermarket is just down the road and the national park is just a short distance away. An ideal place to stay if you are visiting the island. I would highly recommend cycling around the lake in the national park  - it was magical.This was an excellent time of year to visit.

Beautiful View and location

We stayed here for 2 nights in July, the room was basic but had everything that you could possibly need, including heaps of storage space! 
We had a sea view room and the view from the huge balcony was absolutely beautiful! We were also able to leave our bags there for the day after check out which was very helpful and didn’t see to be any inconvenience at all. 

The only low was that there wasn’t any WiFi available, however we didn’t see it as a problem when being on such a beautiful island! 

Fab little room with an incredible balcony view! 

We stayed in a studio with a double bed and sofa bed. The room had a kitchen and bathroom and best if all a huge balcony looking straight out over the sea. It balcony faces roughly north west, so a perfect spot for evening sun and sunset.

There was a good breeze when we were there so at night we could leave windows slightly open and avoid using the aircon. 

Hosts gave us a welcome treat of drink and snack, and on our next night some homemade fish treat. 

Supermarket is just up the road. 

There is a ticket office in the village for the National Park. You can either get the free minibus to the big lake or walk 25 mins through the forest. 

You can hire bikes in Polace but we waited until at the lake to hire them.

Great view and great location

I have rated this apartment with three stars as the view from the balcony is breathtaking. The style of the apartment is not reflected in the price, however we understand from looking at other apartments on Mljet that accomodation is quite expensive.

The bathroom:

The shower was a dribble.
The toilet seat was not attached properly.
Each morning it smelt quite strongly of sewage.
A small amount of shower gel was available upon our arrival.

The kitchen:

No hot water tap (it's not even plumbed in!)

As said previously in another review...if you traveled Asia on a budget, this is the kind of thing to expect. The room was clean however, I will not be staying here again. BEWARE THERE IS ONLY ONE TAXI AVAILABLE, WHICH WE FOUND IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT. However, the Nona Ana ferry goes to Polace. We made the mistake of catching a ferry to Pomena. Fortunately, we stumbled across a hotel in Pomena that would give us a transfer to and from Polace. Staff were friendly and helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

Lovely staff, basic apartment

X-rooms was in the perfect location and our room had an amazing terrace that looked out over the bay. The key amenities like the shower, toilet and sink were clean, however other aspects like cob webs and dusting had not been attended to. The description also stated we would have air conditioning in our room but we did not. When we inquired they did bring us an old fan but if that wasn’t available the heat would not have been tolerable.
