Magical place on Golfo Dulce.  Location, house, property, people, all superb.  Last house on the Playa Preciosa beach road.  Calm, swimmable water.  Surrounded by tropical forest and beach almonds, home to many creatures including 4 pairs of scarlet macaws.  Very helpful caretaker on site 24/7. Owner set up a WhatsApp group and he and his partner answered our many questions quickly.  15 minute drive to town.

My son and I spent 11 days there and I want to go back.  Soon.

We rented the entire house for 4 nights. I would go back in a heartbeat. We went swimming at the practically private beach every day, had fresh pipas, and had lots of wildlife show up right by the house (including macaws, capuchins, and a jaguarundi).

Things to know: 
You absolutely need a 4x4 car to get to the property.
The house is in the rainforest- once the sun goes down, bugs will swarm the lights downstairs. Upstairs is screened in and bugs aren't an issue up there.

Incredible place

This was a highlight for my wife and I during our stay in Costa Rica.  We were pleasantly surprised to find that we had a nearly private 5km beach at our disposal to walk each morning and evening.  Pascal and Manuel were amazing hosts and provided excellent service and conversation.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anyone looking for a low-key location with great access to the water.  10/10 thanks for the great stay guys!

Fantastic Location and Great People

This was one of the nicest places we stayed in our 2.5 weeks in Costa Rica.  It is a quiet, relaxing place surrounded by nature.  

The beach is fantastic, yet it seemed we had it to ourselves!  Though not officially "private", it is remote enough that no one else is there.

If you are looking for a getaway, this can't be beat.  It is a distance from town, though, so prepare for some cab fare or bring a rental car.

Beautiful beach, beautiful mangroves, beautiful service

We stayed four nights of our honeymoon at Gilles' and Pascal's piece of heaven on earth. We wish we could have stayed much much longer...
Beautiful lodge in front of the sea, surrounded by aras, whales, toucans,... with the first neighbor more than one kilometer away.
Gilles and Pascal are very nice and helpful. Gilles is a wonderful cook! Try the piña colada and the frappuccino!
This is an amazing place to stay to visit the Osa Peninsula or relax in a hammock!
Pura vida

A piece of heaven on earth

It was wonderful to stay 4 nights in this amazing place, that's a couple of hundred metres from the lovely Gulfo Dulce. Perfect for swimming and watching humpback whales and dolphins. The land behind the house leads on to the mangrove reserve and taking a kayaking tour of the mangroves that  Pascal set up with Omar was one of the highlights  of our trip to CR. Such a beautiful location surrounded by Macaws and so many other fabulous creatures. We felt privileged to be able to stay in such a beautiful place and Gilles' wonderful cooking is a bonus that enables you to avoid the arduous 9km into Jiminez if you prefer to stay put and just enjoy the sense of being on a tropical island. 

An extraordinary place

We went for a week end in Punta Preciosa and it is safe to say that it is the one place you dream to be in for your whole life. The house is stunning and very confortable, the two owners are really welcoming and can prepare you a truly good dinner, even their dog makes you like the place. We spent hours swimming and wandering around enjoying this amazing environment. You will wish to stay there for a month or if you like peacefulness like me, for the rest of your days.

The lost paradise

A little piece of paradise. It is the most remote guesthouse on that part of the Osa. Beautiful beach that stretches multiple kilometers just a minute away from the front door.
Amazing architecture with attention to details. Comfortable king size bed, panoramic view to the forest and ocean.

A few minuses and comments:
There is little to no privacy here unfortunately, the panoramic view is amazing, but the only place "to be unseen" is on the bed. As soon as you get up and move around, both neighbors can see straight into the room, and those who are on the first floor on the way to the ocean as well.
It could have been a good idea to install curtains or blinds just on the side windows, where the neighbors view into the room. Having curtains will at least give an option to those staying in the room to keep them open or not. 
There are no windows anywhere (just a mosquito net).
There is one fan from the roof, would be nice to also have a standing fan, for those extra warm days/nights.
