This place is really unusual. The owners must be artists. There are a lot of bright colours, each room is different is decorated. We stayed in  cats'room and frogs'one. The breakfasts are like works of art. There are two options:sweet and salty. They were varied and delicious. Eating in the fabulous surroundins with flying hamming birds was like a dream meal.

Very worn out rooms

First of all, all places in Cahuita are expensive for what they really are. 
The room is very worn out and very ugly and I would say the cleaning is not excellent. 
But for us, the host (owner of the place) made the stay worth it. 
Pros:
Excellent on time breakfast
Host very helpful
Shampoo and soap in the bathroom enough for the whole stay.
Location is great next to Cahuita national park.
Shared kitchen in the property.
Close to bus station
Cons:
Room very ugly and worn out
Bathroom without ventilation and very worn out
Towels very worn out and only one per person
Door very old and almost impossible to close and open
A lot of humidity in the room and ventilator extremely noisy
The water heating in the bathroom is extremely noisy and the water preasure is very low.

Very worn out but great host!

Stayed here for two nights in early February - the hosts were both kind and welcoming, even though I don't speak any Spanish or Italian unfortunately. The room was fairly basic with a full size bed (mattress a bit hard but not a problem), ceiling fan, and private bathroom. The only problem I had was that the shower didn't quite get hot enough, but honestly, after a full day of adventuring and sweating, a cool-ish shower feels quite refreshing. 

My room also had a really helpful and informative binder with descriptions of tours and activities to do around the area. The sweet option for breakfast included a nice fruit plate, pancakes, and some pastries - good fuel to start the day! The hosts were even kind enough to pack me a small picnic breakfast for the last morning when I had to leave extremely early before they started cooking the real breakfast.

For me, the highlight of the stay was the personal hammock outside my room - spent a lot of time in the late night hours relaxing in the hammock with a light blanket. Woke up extra early on the morning I left to lay in the hammock some more and listen to the sounds of a Caribbean dawn. Also, there's several cute cats wandering around the property!

Lovely area and atmosphere, cozy hostel

What a lovely owners. Breakfast is brilliant. We had a suitte with a beautiful Banksy Wallpaper, kingsize bed and perfect shower. We stayed here for four days, because of that the owners made us a very delicious homemade pizza (Italian owners). There is no restaurant, but restaurants are nearby. From Cahuita you can make Nice day trips to Puerto Viejo, Punta Uva etc.

For us it was the last stop in Costa Rica... And it was very very very nice!

Wonderfull stay

We stayed there 3 nights, the room is clean, there is hot water, the manager is friendly and the breakfast is amazing! It is well located and there is a nice soda near this place. We strongly recommend this place.

Perfect place with excellent breakfast

We had such a great time here. We were welcomed with a homemade smoothie and the owners explained everything with patience (our Spanish is not that good). The room was very clean and decorated nicely. Two nice ladies cleaned our room everyday and gave us new towels. The shower was hot and very spacious. The room has a fan and bug screens and we had our own chairs and hammocks outside. The breakfast is probably the best you will get around here, it was soo good and enough to get you through the morning. We loved our stay!

10/10 The best stay in Cahuita

We spent one week in this beautiful hotel! The location is very good. It’s almost next to the cahuita National park (4min by foot) and to the bus station (but it’s calm and quiet). The bedroom is much more pretty than the photos in the internet! Everyday we woke up with the sound of the animals (and of course the monkey)!! We went to sleep hearing the sound of the waves. It was so perfect!! The owners are very kind and polite persons. They also are great cookers! They offered us a fresh smoothie when we arrived in the hotel. The breakfast is also made by them and it’s delicious! 
+they also have a very smart and cute parrot in the garden!
