Wyndham Grand Qingdao

This is our second stay at the Wyndham Grand Hotel Qingdao. We visited for two days in March and returned for two months this time, August and September. My daughter is here to attend school and train for sailing. She speaks a little Mandarin. I don’t speak any. The staff at the Wyndham Hotel have treated us like royalty. From the moment we planned this trip they reached out to us to see how they could make our stay more comfortable and convenient. We travel constantly for my daughters sailing all over the world and we have never experienced more attentive and caring staff than here at the Wyndham. We must have a team of 10-15 who take care of us on a daily basis from a driver, Butler, catering staff, front desk help and any thing we require is taken care of. The manager even took my daughter to her school orientation and paid her school fees as well. The hotel itself is massive. Over 500 rooms. Very clean, comfortable and modern. The rooms are large with lovely bathrooms. The coastline view outside is stunning. There is an amazing jogging, walking, bike path between the hotel and the ocean which is extensive. We haven’t tried the indoor or outdoor pools but they look clean and inviting. There is also a great gym on the ground floor with lots of natural light and not like typical hotel gyms in the basement. The breakfast and dinner buffet have both Western and Chinese options which are vast and great. We highly recommend this hotel and have enjoyed our extended stay here and don’t want to leave.
