9 reviewsWhat a delightful surprise we had when we arrived in Jingdezhen, China for a visit to this pottery town. Our friend had booked the Chinaware Hotel for three nights. It is a beautiful, modern hotel. Only opened for about three months. Very modern with touches of the pottery this town is famous for, used in the decoration of the hotel. The staff was very attentive and helpful. English was limited but they managed to have staff at the front desk and in the restaurants who spoke English. Room: Our three rooms were very modern. Great comfortable beds with beautiful white linens, inscribed with their insignia. Very tastefully done. Local pottery used as decoration throughout. The bathroom was a nice size with a powerful shower. Nice, thick bathrobes were provided. Tea service in the room. Restaurants: We arrived at the hotel at 9:30 at night. They were able to provide us with a very nice meal. The breakfast buffet with chef cooked items was very good. Any kind of egg was available to be cooked. Also fried dumplings, which were very good. The decor of the restaurant was very modern with beautiful pottery. We had dinner upstairs at the other restaurant. We were given a private room. The fish was cooked in a spicy curry sauce. Vegetable dish was good as were the dumplings. There is a beautiful waterfall of pottery as we walked to our room. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfortable rooms, great food and creatively designed environment.
