25 reviewsI was visiting Chile for the first time and stayed in La Serena for the eclipse. Didn't have a clue where to stay so after a bit of research I chose an apartment on the beach rather than hotel. My selection of Jardin del Mar was spot on. This is a beautiful complex directly across from the beach offering great view of the bay and city lights of Coquimbo at night. Very secure with each gated entry staffed by guard. Convenient location to several upscale restaurants directly next to the complex as well as more restaurants and shops 5 - 10 min. walk down the beach. Paved bike path and beach walkway run the full length of the beach and is great for a casual walk, biking, jogging, skateboarding, etc. Complex offers beautiful swimming pools, laundry facilities, and friendly helpful staff. Apartment 1202 (3 bed/2 bath) was excellent. Very clean, spacious living area, super comfortable beds, all modern appliances, free WiFi, satellite TV, master bath offers jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Great views from the deck. I highly recommend Jardin del Mar, particularly unit 1202. I will definitely stay here again.
