Booked a lovely looking family room with 2 double beds and amenities for our family of 4.  Upon arrival we were told the room had been previously booked, and we were offered a basement double room, and a room for the kids in the opposite end of the house, through the kitchen, laundry room, lounge, and up the stairs to be next to the creepy owner's bedroom and to share a bathroom with him! Really??  NOT OK for tweenagers.  We were supposed to be OK with this because he was not going to charge extra for the second room.  Another family arrived with 3 young children and seemingly the same drama as they were given 1 room with a double bed for the 5 of them.  Being deeply uncomfortable, we left and found other accommodation (much better and less expensive, but not easy as it was already 5 p.m.).  We later met the family of 5 in town, who said they had taken the basement double room for the 5 of them - no second room as they would be charged for both.  They were also told they had booked the last room in the B&B.  Funny how we both booked the last room, and neither of us got what we booked....  the best thing I can say is the view was beautiful.... but there are other B&B's with the same view so do yourself a favour and book elsewhere.

AVOID!  What you book is not what you get!

This place was pretty messed up when we got there. First of all, they claimed that the woman we talked to on the phone was nowhere to be found and the people who were there claimed she was in the hospital. When we asked why he would not tell us. Then, when we went to see our room, it was not the room we reserved. Even though we showed proof, he said that there was another family staying there. After that, when we were going to pay for the room that he offered us, not the one we reserved 2 months in advance, he raised the price of the room! Thankfully, we had a backup hotel at the Auberge des Battures and the staff was very nice and helpful after our bad experience at this horrible B&B.

Worst B&B Service Ever!!

On our recent road trip of the Charlevoix and Saguenay region of Québéc, my wife and I stayed here for two nights. It is a charming B&B run by Murielle (and her charming dog). We stayed in Le Fjord room, which looks right down the river (it probably has the best views in town). From it one can see the boats coming and going and the many windsurfers on the bay. The room was well-presented and the bed was very comfortable. Murielle herself is charming and very helpful. The breakfasts were good too. The location is excellent for access to restaurants and to the boat terminal (from which we took a day-long cruise on the Saguenay river). Highly recommended.

Magnificent views of the Saguenay

This is a very lovely B&B with a beautiful view of the fjord.  I had a very comfortable, impeccably clean and spacious room with a private bath.  The B&B is located on a hilltop, a short walk from town. Breakfast was delicious and varied and you can choose to sit at the main dining table, or take a small table on your own.  Muriel, the proprietor, is incredibly helpful and will go out of her way to be helpful.  Highly recommended.

Excellent B&B

Our overnight stay at this bnb was very comfortable. The view of the bay from the lounge/dining room was amazing.  On of the bedrooms has the same view so it would be worthwhile to ask if it was available. Our bed was good and we had our own bathroom.  The house is on a short cul de sac so it was very quiet.  We could choose what we wanted for breakfast. All sounded great. Murielle speaks Engish, was helpful and friendly.
