This place had its share of issues as far as looks went, but at the end of a long day of driving it was an awesome place to lay our heads. What it lacked in looks it BY FAR made up for in customer service! We were approaching Rocky Mountain House late at night and we were very tired so we Googled accommodations in advance, came across this one, just called them on a whim. Oh and the price looked right as well. We were going in to literally shower and sleep, we'd be there for maybe 6 hours so we wanted an economic room. When I called I was taken care of by the manager, his name was Sam if I recall, and he was so helpful, polite and spoke with kindness, told us to drive safely and not to worry, that he had a room put aside for us and it would be waiting. When we arrived at midnight it was indeed all ready for us. We'd just missed Sam, but the night front desk person helped us promptly and got us into our room snug as bugs! As I said, it wasn't pretty, but it was more than comfortable. If you're writing a review I think you have to point out the good the bad and the ugly and there was a fair share of ugly and things that needed to be repaired. Holes/divets in the bathroom walls, there was a large piece of exposed plumbing that was clearly in need of repair. There was a definite odor throughout the room and the halls to the hotel. BUT again, we're there to shower and sleep. And those needs were more than met! The shower's pressure was quite sufficient! I think I could have sandblasted a car with it! HAHA! And the bed was super comfy, the pillows were good. IT was a comfortable place to be at the end of a long day of driving, and that really is key. Also we were safe and it was pretty quiet, considering it was right off the highway. There weren't any extra type of amenities by the looks of things. When we'd checked in we'd noticed there appeared to be a little kitchen area off the lobby, leading one to believe there may have been a little continental breakfast or maybe at least coffee in the morning but no such luck. I wanted some ice before bed for just an ice cold glass of water and looked for an ice machine which they didn't have but when I inquired at the front desk, he had small personal sized bags behind the counter, gladly gave me one and asked if I needed more. So again, hey, our needs were met. Upon leaving early the next morning, we did get the pleasure of meeting Sam, and he knew exactly who we were and greeted me by name, it was lovely! I had walked back into the lobby with 3 empty water bottles, hoping they had a water cooler that I could maybe fill them up with. They didn't but Sam took my empty ones away, and went into his office and took out 3 new bottles of water, from his personal mini fridge and gave them to me! Awesome!!! Hey, I know it's only water, but that was truly HUGE to my husband and I, really it was. It was the gesture, he was so thoughtful and again, needs met!! Bravo! Well done, Rocky Inn Express, and certainly Sam! I would 100% recommend this establishment! Oh and the price was great! A king bed room for under $120, that's dang good! :)

Perfect, affordable, safe and comfortable place to land after a long day of driving

My go to place when I'm fishing Rocky Mountain area great value clean everything works just an all-around great Hotel it doesn't have all the bells and whistles like some of the others but it gives you exactly what you need.. Only bummer is due to covid they no longer have the continental breakfast in the morning but it seems like even the big name hotels don't do it anymore quite frankly I think it's sad that these hotels are just using (covid and no longer a issue) as an excuse to not offer the service anymore and yet prices have not been dropped... anyway it's not a big deal like I said this hotel is an awesome deal for what you do get

BEST IN TOWN

Definitely a tired location, shows age. Floor soaked in our room from A/C unit until it just finally stopped working. Non smoking room stunk badly of smoke. My 7 year old was the first to notice as he asked who was smoking in our room as soon as we walked in. Really wouldn't stay here again. Although pricing competitive in the area I felt it high priced for what it was. Staff seemed friendly but honestly didn't see too many staff members the 2 days we stayed. No coffee pot in room and hit or miss if coffee downstairs is kept up with. One good thing is its in a good location with a lot of amenities in the parking lot and within walking distance.

Quiet good location 

I made an error on the reservation date of my initial pre-paid booking, which I found out when I tried to check in.  The staff were very understanding and fortunately had a king room available.  I paid full price again, knowing the error was my fault.  Was very surprised when I got home from the trip and saw that they had refunded half the rate.  Thank-you !   You don't see customer service like that anymore.   Oh, the stay was great, too.

Motorcycle friendly with good security and comfort for 2 wheel travellers. Not immediate outside access from rooms. But not needed.

Rocky on 2 wheels.

Third time staying at this nice place and always clean and quiet.  Well enough off the highway that noise is minimal or non-existent.  Very convenient to everything in town.  The room is always clean and the water is hot.  Very friendly atmosphere.  Will certainly stay again when passing through.

Nice place to stay.....Again

Stayed at the Rocky Inn Express Aug 27 and I am glad this is the place I chose. The check-in staff were extremely pleasant and the Owner, Sam, introduced himself.
The rooms are spacious, nothing fancy but exactly what I needed and expected. I would definitely stay here again. 

Short but sweet

The cheaper rate from Expedia made this an exceptional value hotel for only $69/night!
I got a room nice and close to the front doors. 
Nice King bed! Fridge worked for my needs, impressed by the freezer box inside. Lots of outlets to plug things in. Good SHAW TV service. Bathrooms were over the top, I didn't realize they were giving me a wheelchair accessible bathroom but it was super spacious! A handheld showerhead with adjustable height bar and extra shelving for clothes! 
It's too bad breakfast wasn't available considering our province is in Phase 2 of relaunch. 
Convenient location, close to many restaurants and gas stations.

No nonsense,clean,adequate hotel .
Includes continental breakfast .
The rate reflects the simplicity of the neat and tidy room ,no coffee maker but great tasting coffee in the lobby.

Nice

Great room, really sweet staff and clean!! Owner is a real sweetheart who takes good care of his visitors to make sure they’re comfy. Good breakfast in the morning, rooms were spacious and had microwave and fridge.
