A first ever visit to Vancouver Island and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. The Lodge's back garden ends above the secluded Weir's Beach where we saw a Bald Eagle, a dozen or so Canada Geese, a lone seal, and a Blue Heron. Sadly the lid of Orcas sighted just before we arrived did not return. The rooms are comfortable and elegant. We did not pre-order breakfast which Marg, the ever efficient host, will provide and cook for $15 per head. Instead we used the nearby Broken Paddle Coffee Shop. There is a small grocery store in Metchosin which can supply almost everything except beer and spirits which can be obtained in a liquor store not many miles away. Opposite the store there is a bar with a Sugar Shack, and also a Pizza outlet. On day 1 we visited Sooke, Shirley, Jackson River and Port Renfrew. Day 2 we explored the lakes west of Victoria and had an early dinner in Chinatown. The Lodge is ideally placed for such ventures but another day or so would be required to to see mire of the Pacific Rim National Park around Tofino.  Very much 5*!

This Bed and Breakfast in Metchosin was fabulous deserves 5 stars it was clean , friendly , great breakfast , Sunrise and views are absolutely spectacular, the beach is private and beautiful views of MT Baker , cruise ships and killer whales.  Can’t wait to Go Back , stayed in the Cooper Moon just Spectacular thanks for the best weekend ever...  It was Heavenly  - Lauren and Wes Woychuk from Kelowna

The Lodge at Weir’s Beach

We will definitely be back, I think we're going to make it an annual pilgrimage. Marg has thought of everything, and we were very comfortable and well taken care of. The well appointed lodge is quiet and peaceful, and on a spectacular beach. 

Wonderful place with perfect host who makes fantastic breakfast.

  This Cosy Hideaway is located in Metchosin! 
Situated right on the beach, this wonderful bed-and-breakfast like Lodge boasts scenic rooms.       
  Steps away from a sandy beach; teaming with wildlife.  During our stay we were lucky enough to see Harbour seals, fishing Eagles, grazing deer, and plenty of flitting Hummingbirds.
The Guest Lodge is a separate log home connected to the main house, complete with guestrooms, full kitchen and dining.  Plenty of comfortable seating inside and out.  
  Marg our host was friendly helpful and insured the privacy of her guests.

  Hopefully we’ll meet soon at the Lodge at Weirs Beach.

Amazing Place to Stay

A lovely place to stay. Very welcoming but also giving guests their own space to do as they please with their time. Peaceful and yet not so isolated as to be inaccessible. We would not hesitate to recommend the Lodge to any potential guests.
