We stayed here during our Gaspe snowmobile trip, it was a nice, clean hotel. A little older, but big, clean rooms. We really enjoyed our dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Big portions with a lot of variety. Nice stay!

Decent stay, great restaurant 

My husband and I stayed at Motel Chandler the first weekend of April. We were in the area to attend a funeral and we found that the motel was a convenient place to spend the night. It's located right in the middle of Chandler, about a block away from the main highway (Route 132) and across from a small shopping plaza that includes a McDonald's and a large supermarket. The motel has ample free parking right at the door.

Check-in was easy. Our room was the second floor, one flight of stairs up from the front desk. (There is no elevator in this motel). The room was fairly large and featured a queen bed, a sitting area with a table and 2 chairs as well as a small fridge. Both the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and all fixtures worked well. The bed was quite comfortable. The decor is not modern but the price was very reasonable and all staff members we encountered were friendly and welcoming.

We had 2 minor issues with the room; one was that lights from the shopping plaza across the street were shining into the room, even with the curtains closed so it never got completely dark. It wasn't strong enough to prevent sleeping but it was very noticeable. The other issue we had was noise; the walls seem to be quite thin so we could clearly hear people going up and down the stairs or walking in the hallway. We thought that it would be an issue for sleeping but in the end everything became very quiet around 10 pm so it didn't affect our sleep.

A great thing about Motel Chandler is the attached restaurant. We had a very hearty and tasty breakfast there at a very reasonable cost. We also had lunch there later the same day and again found the food pleasant-tasting and the portions ample. We are talking comfort food here, not gourmet cuisine, but there were lots of choices, service was prompt and friendly, and overall we found that the restaurant was a plus for this motel.

Overall, I believe that Motel Chandler is a very good choice if you are looking for comfortable and affordable accommodation in the Chandler area.

Convenient motel with hearty food

We just returned from a 3-week trip .. 1-week in the US, 1-week in New Brunswick Province, and 1-week in Quebec Province .. this was the only hotel in which we encountered a nasty desk clerk. She spoke very little English and didn't make any effort to try to assist us. I used a Discover credit card to reserve the room, but when I handed her my Discover card, she glared at it, flipped it over, and snapped "What is this" as though we were trying to cheat her. The room was dreary, TV was small and old, air conditioner had difficulty maintaining the temperature, and the parking situation was terrible. The only redeeming factor was the attached restaurant which served a great breakfast (not included with the room) and the waitress was pleasant.

Parlez-vous anglais?

This is an excellent motel/hotel with a different name for every room...and I must say, the rooms look good. It's split up into 3 pavilions and we've only stayed in pavilion A, during the 2 stays in the past 2 years - with the most recent one being on our wedding night. The staff members are courteous, kind and cool. You'll be near a bunch of restaurants so you definitely won't run out of things to eat. There's even a Super C (attached to the local shopping centre) facing it and an IGA about a 5 minute walk away (1 minute car ride away). Enjoy your stay! :)

Great place to ''hang your hat'' in the heart of downtown Chandler

We stayed here in February during a snowmobile backpack trip.  Hotel lobby was very nice and front desk staff very helpful.  Restaurant was a little pricey but the food was VERY GOOD.  Room was nice and bed comfortable.  There's a McDonald's across the street as well as a grocery store.
