I have stayed in this complex numerous times.   They have a few different buildings and I always like to stay in the newest section, in a corner room higher up.   Views can be wonderful.  The pool and property is well manicured, clean and comfortable.

we stayed 2 nights in The Khemara hotel. 
The staff was good,  the room was big and clean and the pool are pretty big. 
15$ per night is a a good price and good vlue for that room and services. thank you khemar team. i will come again. 

very good value for the price

Rooms are ok but very tired looking. Bed sheets are old, furniture are old and the breakfast is not good enough. A bit far from the city centre also. Having said that, it can be a good option for low budgets and the pool looks good.

Looks tired

The hotel could do with some warmth & improved cleanliness in hallways and rooms. 

The best aspects were large rooms, the pool area and laundry service. The massage centre was ok. Breakfast though edible was often cold and cockroaches were seen. There are also plenty of mosquitos and WIFI is poor. 

Pretty creepy hotel 

I came here for a massage with my partner and the whole experience was just terrible. The staff had very little English but we managed to explain that we wanted an oil massage which was all fine. The two masseurs left us waiting in the room for 10 minutes before they came to see us. They didn’t smile once and kept talking to each other throughout. They left the room on numerous occasions for 5 minutes at a time to get a towel or something else they had clearly forgotten to bring in at the start. The massage ended after 45 minutes instead of the hour we had paid for, and the whole experience was uncomfortable. They clearly didn’t want to be massaging us and made that clear with the lack of effort they were putting in. We won’t be back. The free sauna and spa was the best part of the experience.

Worst massage

This was my 2nd stay here. Was with a team for 5 days. The rooms are nice enough. House Keepers are wonderful. 

They serve brunch here every morning but I found a gem across the street- Home Coffee Cafe! It's worth staying at this hotel just to walk across the street for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or you could just grab a latte and read a book!

The hotel has a huge foyer for business meetings. The rooms are large with cable television (not fancy - no flat screen in my room) and wifi. You are given two bottles of water per day and basic toilitries. I brought a hair dryer. I did not see one there.

The corriders floors are very spacious with side lounges to relax or have a meeting. The corrider floors don't appear very kept up but swept and washed. They've lost their glitter. 

Security is good. Good size bathrooms with granite counter tops and glass showers. 

You get more here than you pay for! 


Enjoyed stay for money, close to anyplace you want to go!

Not much to do in Battambang Down town, so I usually go for a good cheap $6 massage with free sauna!! Usually $50 and up in USA!’ Go 3 times a week, offer free hot tea with entrance fee .. the hours of operations you must ask. Sometimes I go to early but they can call someone to come.

Good place for massage and hot tub

Was only a quick night.  Lift made an awful noise and the restaurant not too inviting.  Breakfast was edible....glad the visit was short and sweet.  Try somewhere else where the staff are a little more interested. Swimming pool looked good 

1 quick night....

Stayed here for 4 days.  Hotel had a musty/moldy type smell to it in the hallways, probably because Cambodia is quite humid.  The room was decent and air conditioning worked great.  Our bathroom smelled really moldy, but the room didn't seem to smell. Wifi was slow.  Staff were friendly, but didn't have very good English.  Got a foot massage there, which was good, but slightly awkward as the masseuse didn't speak much English, and wanted me to change into shorts (I was wearing jeans) right there in the room, where there was a glass door that had others walking by in the hallway who could see in, and there were two other people in the room, slightly awkward, but it was cheap. There is a nice looking pool, though I didn't go it, but I'm assuming it was good. For the price it was, thought this place was an ok place to stay.

I have the privilege of travelling to Battambang several times a year.  I like the Khemara 1 hotel. Good breakfast with fresh fruit, very friendly staff, they have a pool and HomeCoffee (a nice restaurant/coffee shop) is directly across the street.  It's not the Ritz but fair value all things considered.
