Udumwara Resort is the epitome of peace and tranquility. Honestly, the hotel services are top notch, with friendly staff, fast internet and clean rooms. Rates are pocket-friendly and worth every penny. Food is delicious, humongous servings and tasty. They have a buffet option. They have spacious rooms with a spring-heated shower, a bathtub, and room heaters. Great views of the valley.

Absolutely Amazing Place to stay in , it's a 8 acre land resort which offers wonderful services and also a place to relax . Enjoy Organic fresh  Apples  in the resort garden Area . It's especially for the tourists staying in the resort. I highly recommend this resort for a wonderful vacation in Bhutan. 

Awesome hotel along with good food in Paro, Best part of the hotels is Apple tree in hotel ground and the river which cross in just beside of our Rooms. the sound of river was mesmerizing. Large Common Room in our four room corridor is also a big party space for us.

Resort is located about 20 minutes drive from Paro International airport. Located in a beautiful place surrounded by Orchids. Paro river is passing behind the resort. No lift is available in the resort. Beautiful location.
Trekking to Tiger Nest is little difficult for senior citizens & children. Tourist with heart problem or breathing problem should avoid trekking this hill. But it is a beautiful place.
You can find a restaurant in the mid way, which will take about 1.30 to 2 hrs for a normal walking persons.You should not carry unnecessary items which will add burden while trekking. We can't forget this experience. With difficulty I finished the trekking. Took about 7.30 hrs from the ground level to come back. About 3890M from MSL.

Recently we stayed in the above property for 2n/3d.

As we were staying in the Villa, it was just amazing. Huge bathroom. Large bedroom with top to bottom glass windows for uninterrupted view of the surrounding hills and sounds of river flowing nearby. The selection of Indian food in breakfast and dinner was also great .
Would love to stay again in the resort.

Away from the main city, the place has a rustic feel to it. The lawns are not level, not manicured, and make for a challenging walk after dark especially for senior citizens. The rooms are in clusters - very convenient if you are travelling in a group, and you get these rooms to yourselves. Once you enter the room however, it is an entirely different world. Exceptionally furnished, the room is huge. The windows open on two sides. and are curtained by greenery and the mountains. You can hear the gurgle of the river flowing close-by. You wake up as though in paradise. The bathroom is large. The marble floor gets quite cold at night and is uncomfortable to walk on barefeet. The toiletries are average. The food in the restaurant was very good. We had an early morning checkout; the restaurant packed food boxes for us. Unfortunately no one was hungry that early, so we had to return the food. The staff is friendly. However the housekeeping services need to be improved. Our clothes had got wet in the incessant rain from Punakha to Paro. The hotel could neither provide laundry service, nor a heating iron. But this one incident apart, our stay was very comfortable. 

This is a beautiful and serene resort located on the outskirts of Paro town.. the reception is huge and so are the rooms.. athough we could hear the stream flowing by, we could see it only once we went there as it was hidden by other rooms..

The place has a nice calming effect.. the breakfast served was ok.. they served only Indian food.. the bathroom was good to look at but the water use to flow out of the shower area.. even after complains nobody did anything about it.. the towels not very fresh.. I would suggest bringing your own towel.. also in most of the hotels in Bhutan we had no option but to eat at the restaurant in the hotel and that too with a very restricted menu.. 

For few days we were managing with the food tht we got from HoMe but at the end if the trip we had to eat at hotel without any choice.. OlI would suggest book a hotel nearby the main market area for utilising ur trip time more and also for better options of food..

This is a very old resort. It is kept very clean but needs better maintenance. Very large rooms, good view, spacious and clean bathrooms. Nice balcony too. But all the fittings are old and need to be upgraded though it's kept very clean. Only worn out.

The rooms are gorgeous. But the bathrooms were quite frightening. Perhaps it’s just low season and they need a good cleaning. Service was complicated, lots of misunderstandings. But Paro can be slim pickings if trying to stay within 3 star resorts so I would say this is not bad, and rounded up. If you are willing to go up in price I would recommend the 4* properties as the difference is minimal for better amenities.
