Our stay at Brugsche Suites was nothing short of exceptional. The property is stunning and has been lovingly restored by the current owners to its former glory. Peter is an exemplary host whose attention to detail (from the night-time chocolates and lit candles at turn-down to the beautiful monogramed bedding and towels to the elegant antique furniture) rivals that of any 5* hotel we have stayed in (and we are fortunate enough to have stayed in many). Breakfast was wonderful with fresh locally sourced items cooked and served to perfection. Peter had lots of recommendations for our time visiting the city which we found very helpful. The location was ideal, being a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the busy centre. If you like high-end luxury delivered with a personal touch, this is the place to stay. Thank you for a wonderfully memorable weekend in the beautiful city of Bruges!

A Truly Luxurious Stay

We stayed at Des Brusches Suites late February 2020.  This beautifully redone and decorated town house is obviously a labor of love for Peter.  He is a friendly and very helpful host who provides a serene and relaxing experience for his guests.  There are only three lovely suites with fireplaces and views into the garden or the city rooftops.  In these days, this privacy is a huge plus as is the calm, classical, and lovely setting.  Peter is very accommodating and the breakfasts were tasty and filling.  He had some good suggestions for dinner and candy shops!  It was fairly rainy while we were there and he even kindly drove us to our dinners, when he saw how bedraggled I was 😉  There is a sitting room and a living room populated with Napoleanic era antiques and our curtains were decorated with a tiny pattern of bees, if you know your history.   The bathrooms were well done, the internet was strong, and the rooms were warm and immaculate.  Just the shelter we needed!

Small Classical Beauty

Wow - what an amazing place to stay.  Spent a little more than normal for accommodation as it was a Mini-Moon for us, and so glad we did.  The building, decor and room were out of this world.  On top of that, the host Peter, is just superb.  Nothing is too much trouble for him, and he made us feel so welcome to his house.  He was full of ideas how to spend the day exploring Bruges, pointing out all the important places on his map.  He even gave us a choice of rooms when we arrived, so sweet.  Breakfast the following day was sumptuous and he couldn't do enough to ensure we were happy with everything.  When we mentioned finding a typical Belgium restaurant to eat in he booked one for us and offered to drive us there if we were too tired after a long day sightseeing.  The room itself was so lovely.  It was spacious, beautifully decorated and had a fire to relax in front of after a tiring day.  The towels & robe were all so soft (unlike most hotels). I have never stayed anywhere that there wasn't something small wrong with it - but now I have.  Absolutely perfect in every way.  Thank you Peter.

Amazing Accommodation & Service

Wonderfully Individual, great taste, kindest service and joyful refinement. Bruges is a very beautiful but quite touristic city, with plenty of people around you most of the time. We enjoyed all the impressions but coming back from buzzy Bruges to the Brugsche Suites always felt like finding peace and tranquility.
We managed to relax perfectly in our elegant but cozy room. Peter is an amazing host. Brugsche Suites is a place to look forward  coming back in all seasons. 

A gem in Bruges

Brugsche Suites is quite possibly the best hotel/guesthouse we have ever stayed in! And we been lucky enough through our travels to experience 5 star  previously.

Brugsche Suites goes beyond 5 star, where to start..

1 . The whole guest house including the suites are immaculately kept and clean. Great care has been taken to restore the house to is grandeur and it’s been done so with love, care and a whole lot of taste and style.

2. The location is perfect, you are a 10 min walk from the main square.

3. Breakfast is exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. Fresh breads, pastries, fruit salad, fresh orange juice you name it Peter had it.

4. Peter the host is truly what makes your stay so welcoming comfortable and special. He is very informative about the area and what to do, he always on hand to assist with anything.. even small things like hearing you come the downstairs and turning the lights brighter for you to see better.. so attentive and thoughtful. If you need reservations made or a lift to your restaurant he is more then happy to oblige. He is just an amazing host and truly understands the concept of luxury and 5 star and goes above and beyond this.

When we come back to Bruges there is only 1 place we will stay and that is 110% here.

Outstanding 

Imagine staying at an aristocratic mansion where everything is very luxurious, spacious and with a great atmosphere. This should have 5*+. And it is the whole experience that makes it even more unique with Peter the owner making everything easy for you. From a great breakfast, to booking for you at the best places in the city. We have been to some of the best and expensive hotels globally and we cannot recommend this enough. Everything was just great!!!

A gem in Europe

To echo the sentiments of all of the other reviews, this place is absolutely perfect from start to finish.

Peter welcomed us into his beautiful home, and was the perfect host throughout our stay, helping with restaurant reservations before our arrival to ensuring we saw Bruges in the best possible way.

Everything in the house is immaculate, the attention to detail is second to none, the breakfast fresh and delicious - a faultless stay.

The location is ideal, a 10 minute walk through beautiful Bruges to the main square, surrounded by parks to wander if you want to take yourself out of the busy tourist areas.

We can't wait to come back, and will be recommended to all our friends and family in the meantime.

If in Bruges - there is nowhere better!
