We had late check in in the pension Windau on Saturday about 2.30pm.
We met the owner.
Really friendly and helpful.
Done the paperwork and he printed the Oeztal Premium Card for us. Didn't lnow how much he is charging us for one night. Had a really good night sleep. Had a great continental breakfast and then I paid for the room. Surprisingly cheap.
100 Euro including breakfast and the Oeztal Premium Card. The Oeztal Premium Card by itself is 56 Euros per person. So you guys can do your own numbers.
For me it's a 5 out of 5 🌟.
Bloody marvelous

Accommodation

We stayed here as a family in January for 4 days of skiing. It is in a great location to the main gondola. The food was excellent and typical Austrian fare which meant we could eat in each night . The hosts were  helpful and friendly. We would recommend this to others to stay .

I stayed here during January 2013 as part of a business trip. We had an all inclusive stay which included breakfast and dinner each night at the hotel. My room was good, although the bathroom was a little small but adequate. The room also had a small balcony with views up the valley and towards the ski lifts.

Breakfast was very good and there was a good selection of continental cereal, meat, cheeses and fruit as well as a hot meal option. Dinners were very good and featured local produce and recipes. 

The location of the hotel meant that it was about 10 minutes of a walk onto the main street of the town, but only 3 minutes across the river to the main ski lift - a great location and not much walking once you are off the slopes with sore legs!

I must also mention the owner of the hotel - Marco. He is a great host, full of local information and a great man for the Schnapps, we had many a laugh at the bar with him.

Great Location & Host

Big apartments for 8 people, if you travel with company it's a good place to stay. Free WiFi at the rooms, nice view and balcony, 5 minute walk to the ski lift.

Good dinner and fresh beer at the bar. Very nice housekeeper, it was really pleasant to stay here.

Excellent place for winter holidays

I stayed with my son at Pension Windau at the end of March 2012.
Our overall impression was very good. Quiet location, magnificent view, nice terrace, free parking, and free Wifi. A five-minute walk to the Gaislachkogel ski lift, although we mainly used the other ski lift (Giggijoch) where ski/snowboard schools are.  
We had a twin-bed room, small but practical with everything needed. Breakfast and dinner were delicious! 
The service and the hosts are perfect and friendly. 
Certainly a value for money accommodation in Solden.
