We thourghly enjoyed every moment of our stay at Shutters By The Sea. The studio was well appointed, view was beautiful and the host Marilyn was perfect. Listening to the waves and the little blowhole was just what we needed to relax.   Our breakfast provision was plentiful and we were also greeted with a bottle of bubbly and cheese platter on arrival. The local cafes and stores are all a short drive and appointed with some of the friendliest people around. "Top Shop" located 4 minutes drive away has an array of local and organic products to try as well as any essential items we needed. We will definitely be returning to visit Marilyn and beautiful Kiama again in the near future. Danielle and Damien

Perfect Romantic Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Shutters by the Sea. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished. The view out the sliding doors was spectacular and you could hear the little blowhole!A stocked fridge was very welcome!

My partner and I spent a weekend at Shutters and were really delighted with the way the accomodation had been presented. Despite being a small space, nothing had been overlooked, from a bottle of bubbly in the fridge with complimentary cheeseboard to coffee pods for the nespresso machine.
The lovely little hideaway, where you go off to sleep to the sound of the waves, is clean, newly appointed and very comfortable.

Everything We needed!

Lovely spot - hear the sound of ocean swell and whomp of Little Blow Hole. We enjoyed a relaxing escape to this little spot. It was like what was indicated. We enjoyed facilities of shower, kitchenette and bedroom. Marilyn was helpful. We enjoyed walks, swimming and it was easy 30 minutes walk to Kiama shops restaurants and museums. Lovely escape

My Partner and I had a 5 nights stay at "Shutters by the Sea" during the New Year Period. We were greatly satisfied with a delightfully situated and presented apartment - quality furnishing abound. We found the refrigerator fully stocked with everything needed for our breakfasts over 5days - the complimentary bottle of Champagne and Chocolates were a 
lovely touch. The air-conditioning was rarely need as the sea breeze was constantly pleasant and cooling - but when used was most effective. The only item was occasionally the WiFi would get a "little inconsistent".
We would thoroughly recommend "Shutters" to any prospective guests intending to see a new aspect to the beauty of the Kiama Coast.

We were absolutely delighted with our decision to book Shutters. It was our first time trying this type of accommodation and I'm sure it won't be the last.
So quite and comfortable and we had everything we needed for our three night stay.
Marilyn was exceptional in her communications to us and gave us plenty of options for  restaurants and cafes. We will definitely  stay there again whenever the opportunity arises.

Above Expectations

We spent 4 nights here and this is definitely the place to stay if you are looking for a romantic getaway. Exceptionally clean and high quality, it surpasses all expectations. Open the double sliding doors and you have not only the sun basking in your room, but a wonderful view of the ocean. The balcony is a joy to have a drink in the late afternoon. The facilities are second to none, and the breakfast provided is excellent. The hosts are very nice and helpful, and do not intrude on your privacy. Shutters by the Sea is a fantastic experience to enjoy if you are coming to Kiama for a holiday and we recommend them most whole heartedly.

This is the cutest, loveliest place we’ve stayed on a weekend away. The owner, Marilyn is incredibly friendly and sent us tips of places to see and go. Not only that, but she left a fully stocked fridge for us, plus just about any amenity we could need.

The place is a stones throw away from the ocean, so the view is gorgeous. As 2 city slickers, we were dying to go somewhere for some peace and quiet and all you hear at this beautiful property is cicadas at night and the crashing of the ocean waves. 

The property is beautiful, very sweet and cute and we will definitely be staying here again should we come down to Kiama!

The best accommodation we’ve experienced 

The property was lovely and quiet and about 5 minute drive into town. There are lovely walks  to take and it is about 100meters from the property to the little blowhole.There lots of over places to see about  10 minutes to gerringong and a little further to Berry. We had a lovely time and would stay there again.

Room was spotless upon arrival. Marilyn kindly provided us with the wifi password and suggested places to eat, explore and general things to do. There was no honey (and I have my tea with honey), so within 2 mins of sending a text and asking for some, honey appeared on the top step! She is an amazing host... she is efficient, kind and proactive. 
Views are incredible! Comfy bedding and near-perfect pillows. Real roses on the bedside table too. Brilliant place; we will be back!
