In the closing days of a recent work related assignment on the the Gold Coast l elected for a few "wind down" days away from the daily grind. My work focused primarily in the Bilinga locality. The Bilinga Beach Motel afforded me the opportunity to completely unwind. To slow the pace. To take in the sea breeze and to stroll along the beach. Only a few steps back from the foreshore, the serenade of the waves comes and goes. The passing parade of glitzy people never abates. Family people with their doggies & kids can soak up the delights of the Pacific Ocean as often as they desire. Its free. Its clean. Its there. The Bilinga Beach Motel is just the place to be. Debbie, your capable host, has a keen eye for detail. Rooms vary and can be matched to your needs with little ado. An Uber to/from the Gold Coast Airport is less than $10. Varsity Lakes train station, by Uber, is around $26. Trains to and from the Brisbane Domestic/International Airport is $20. (No need to change trains either) Mervyn Roys Cafe is less that 15 mins walk. Bilinga proper (25 minute walk) hosts a variety of restaurants, fast food outlets and supermarkets. Call in and inspect the Motel. Like myself, you may well be pleasantly surprised and extend your stay. I will be back!  That's a promise.

Hidden gem.

People need to be independent to make phone calls, book taxi etc.

Airplanes can be noisy but I ignor.

Had an overnight stopover. Exceeded all of our expeditions. Clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly. Great value for money. Can cater for 5 people with 2 bedrooms (3 beds) and 2 bathrooms. Would recommend to anyone 

Great value for money

We have stayed at BBM two years in a row. They have large bedrooms with separate bathrooms. Also nice to be in a quieter area but close to the beach. Great pool as well and not a high rise. We hope to be back again.

Great Family Accommodation

Lovely little beach motel. Easy access to the beach and nice staff. Good wifi, and check in was very easy. Its a 5 min uber into coolangata is always good and not too from local shops and bars.

Really enjoyable stay.

Easy and comfortable

After long flight from overseas we chose to stay here and wait until my husband come rather than pay taxi fee to go home which an hour away from the airport. We booked through this motel direct so we were offered complimentary early check in. So we walked and had early lunch and went back to the motel before noon, the room was already ready. 
The lady at the reception was so kind, helped to carry our luggage  to upstairs room.The room was clean, comfortable, well renovated. We had good rest on that afternoon and had a nice stay overnight. The beach is just at the front. Thank you for having us.

Comfortable, close to the airport

I found this to be an economical old but very good and comfortable motel and its position on the Bilinga beachfront was excellent . I had a walk from the airport, and another along the beach to meet at the Surf club.

This motel, though older is very clean and comfortable and is in a very convenient location very close to Coolangatta Airport and the John Flynn Hospital. Our stay of four nights around the Australia Day weekend was for the practical purpose of ease of access to the hospital where my daughter was having surgery. With absolute beach front access and a pleasant outdoor swimming pool, time was easily spent whilst waiting for her release from hospital. Staff assisted in many ways - referring me to car wash facilities and suitable restaurants and supermarkets. When I left a nightgown behind, the staff posted it on to me. Our room was adequately spacious with a fridge and tea making facilities and TV. A laundry is available on site and there are pleasant seating areas on the boardwalk next to the ocean. Not every room has ocean views but the sea breezes are easily accessed on the verandah or boardwalk. Good air conditioning in the room and bathroom, though small and old was well serviced and clean. Not the Ritz but very good value for money.

Value for money, great service, convenient location.

We chose this little motel as it was away from the crowds. It was right on the beach.  There are two gazebo tables out the front but only the units adjacent to these can use them. I think there are other family apartments with good ocean views. I think this motel is ok for a night stop over but you will find other ocean front units for similar prices. We were in the rear studio unit near the front main service road which parallels the main highway. It wasn’t too noisy we just shut the front window. The studio has been renovated in this studio unit. The bed was a pillow top so it was EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE.  The unit was clean. It had a full mini kitchen. The fridge froze our veggies and fruit. We could only see a partial view of the beach from our unit at the very rear of the property. It is in between CURRUMBIN beach which is beautiful and the inlet of calm water at Currumbin estuary and at the Southern end is COOLOONGATTA which is full of restaurants and has lovely beaches and a mountain to get good photo shots from the top. You are right in between two great areas. Balinga is great as the airport is close by. Yes you do hear the aeroplanes but not many at all during COVID. Smaller building is safer for Covid times and you don’t share an air conditioner. Your air cond is your own air conditioner....(except someone would have used it before you do of course.) We felt a bit safer here as it’s smaller and away from people. The pool is quite nice. 

Location! You are on the beach and away from crowds here.

The accommodation was good and the location.  Rooms were clean and there were undercover parking. Nice to just be able to walk to the beach. However, we were disappointed with not being able to swim in the pool.
