Berat Backpackers is a very nice hostel to stay in during your stay in Berat. It is in a quiet area of the city, and within walking distance to everything. The beds are comfortable, and the air con in the rooms works great! The free breakfast is very nice as well. A few things that would have made our stay even better would have been the guest kitchen/fridge being cleaner. As well, the hostel is on the top of a broken cobbled walking street uphill, so carrying our luggage up the road was not fun.

Nice hostel!!!! You should go to this one!!! Service is great! It has some place outside where you can sit and relax. Outside is also a bar and often they organise a party. It's very clean and it's a big hostel. I will recommend it to you!!! :) 🫶🫶

We stayed in a private room here for 2 nights. The setting was just stunning. The grounds of the hostel are unbelievable, there are multiple levels with beautiful flowers. The hostel has a really lovely feel with lots of mingling in the evening outside. The bathroom was clean and our bedroom very beautiful and comfy, although it did get hot (as we had no aircon and only a fan). The balcony was stunning and the views were fantastic. The location of the hostel is perfect, it’s so close to so much and has scenic views. Whilst the breakfast wasn’t huge, it was lovely to have each morning and we enjoyed the fresh watermelon. Highly recommend.

Best hostel in Berat and good vibes 🥰
U can find a huge garden and spacious rooms and toilets. Everything is super clean and the breakfast is delicious with many varieties like nowhere else.
They organise also canyon and wine tours so u save more than 1 day to spent in berat 🤩

Absolutely loved staying here and would not hesitate to stay here if I was ever in Berat again. 

It’s a beautiful building in the Gorica quarter, and it’s super clean. There are so many breakout spaces where you can hang out, chill, and socialise whilst enjoying the view of the Managalem quarter and Berat castle over the river. It is beautiful day and night.

There is great wifi and the staff are super friendly and helpful with regard to asking about transport, activities, and organising tours. The Osumi Canyon tour is excellent and I heard great things about the wine tour.

Dorm rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and lockers for everyone. There aren’t many plug sockets in the room but there are lots throughout the hostel so it’s not an issue. Bathrooms are great and cleaned multiple times a day. The showers were powerful with plenty of hot water for everyone.

Breakfast is served every morning with a selection of fruit, local pastries and bread. The kitchen can also be used at other times of day for guests to prepare their own food. Water is drinkable too.

The hostel is a walkable distance from everything you’d want to do in Berat. There’s a very nice hiking trail through a pine forest nearby which is great at sunset. If getting a local bus from Berat bus terminal, you can get off at Gorica bridge and walk to the hostel from there.

One of the best hostels done in my life. Typical and great stone architecture house, you straight feel like home. 
Activities available : day trip to bogove waterfall and ossum canion > 5 stars experience > 35€. 
Staff : very friendly staff, helpful and dedicated t keep the place perfect. 
Cleanliness: clean inside and outside
Location: view on the mountain, nearby the city center. 
Minimum to stay: 2 nights
Breakfast included, drinks available at the hostel.

Brilliant hostel. Nice and central. Helpful staff and nice clean accommodation. Looking through some of the photos on here is has definitely been modernised since they were published. Would stay here again

loved it and will certainly return... although the road from Fier is absolutely shocking!

Staff are friendly and immediately tell you what tours are available - so much to see outside of Berat. Can recommend the wine tasting tour and the waterfall + canyoning tour.  I extended my stay because of these tours and it was with it.  The dorms are large and supplied with fans. But my 8 bedded dorm only had 3 power outlets. Love the old heritage building.  Multi tiered outdoor terrace which is so relaxing.  The best mattresses I've slept on in all of Albania. Highly recommend this place and stay in the old town.  

Had a blast at this hostel - one of the best I have ever been to. The people at this hostel are some of the best in the world and the homemade rakia is flowing and delicious! I ended up staying for 5 nights and already want to go back. Do the osumi canyon trek and go to the winery! From David (Dave) xx
