I stayed here one night before moving onto Montevideo.  This provided a nice stopover as I arrived on Colonia in the afternoon allowing time to explore. It about a 5-10 minute walk to the bus and ferry terminals.  The staff were friendly.  The room was abit small and clean but I choose it as it had a private bathroom. The breakfast was small and simple but nice for a change not having to choose between buffet breakfasts and eating more bacon!

The Solo Colonia is about a 4 minute taxi ride from the ferry port and while an older building, it's very cared for and a real delight!!

I stayed 5 nights, booking online from Australia and was not disappointed. 

My room was on the second floor accessible either by stairs or the lift. A big room, big comfortable bed with plenty of bedding and more importantly plenty of storage. The bathroom while a little small was clean, and well maintained.

Plenty of bedding and towels with extra blankets for those chilly summer evenings. 

Air-conditioning was terrific and kept the room at a pleasant temperature. 

The room came with sufficient storage, a safe for the valuables and was very secure. The hotel front door is locked at night from about 9-10pm (I can't recall exactly) and the front desk is staffed 24 hours. 

The complimentary breakfast was basic but delicious and I really enjoyed the chilled orange juice!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, with good information about local activities and how to get around. 

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the centre of Colonia and about a 20 minute walk to the old lighthouse and "old town" of Colonia

Loved the hotel and would definitely recommend it.....

Wonderful stay.....

I stayed there for 2 days. Cleaned, lovely staff. The only thing not very good was the breakfast (poorly one). Anyway, for the price paid It was a good experience. It is close to downtown, near the touristic spots. I recommend it. 

It is okay!

The room was basic and clean. The Air conditioning was perfect.
The shower was not so good, needed a little more power... you know.
The client attention was so nice. Uruguyan style... perfect!
The breakfast was limited but very good. WE asked for more toasts without any problem.
The internet service was included and VERY GOOD! With no device limits.. and easy to connect.

Very good experience!!!!

Noche en Colonia

We stayed for two nights. The service is good, the bathrooms are spotless. Breakfast could use a little improvement. Window shutters, A/C, efficient heaters. Really close to Ciudad vieja and a lot of restaurants.
We loved it and hope to return.
