Pros:  super close to the beach, about 700 feet
             Trolley stop right around the corner 
             Good places within a short walk
             Overall, it’s quiet
             Close to the southernmost bouy landmark
             Extremely clean
             Grounds are well lit
             Full kitchen big enough to make easy meals

Cons:  The bed is very uncomfortable 
                It’s shabby; broken window, dented fridge, scratched dresser, bathroom shower ceiling not attached to tiles
                Needs blinds that block the light because the grounds are well lit and there are ghost lights all over the room making it like noon in here during the night.
               Refrigerator makes a lot of bumping noises

Good location

I loved this little on the beaten path, but off the path as well.  Great place to stay. It had a wonderful little open bar across the street, a nice deli and coffee shop next door which had the best coffee. It was a nice size room as well.

Place to stay

Room was dirty , bathroom broken fixtures, paint peeling off the walls, hot tubs not maintained, Worst bed I ever slept in mattress had to be 10 years old. Spoke to rental office about the issues no apology or can we put you in another room. Had to pay in advance to get a good rate would not give refund if we left early. Just don’t do it. Any good reviews are false.

Don’t do it

Not just location of the property itself but how the apartment is nestled in the back, quietly shut off from the world, (complete with roosters and chickens).  There’s a bar directly across from the gate entrance (open til wee hours) and we heard nothing. Just around the corner is a fabulous coffee/sandwich shop (Ana’s Cuban Cafe) and of course the Southernmost Point tourist spot. Parking fees are high, and free parking is scarce so it’s beneficial to look!  Apt itself isn’t quite as “fresh” as the pictures show (and price would indicate) but we would stay there again.
(Tip: although a block off Duval check out Simonton and enjoy all that this cool street has to offer, from end to end. Enjoy!)

Great location, quiet setting

WARNING: DO NOT STAY HERE
If I could give this place 0/5 stars I would. The grounds are ok and the cottages are very outdated. Not to mention, when we arrived the rooms were dirty. At the end of the week we were charged over $1,000 worth of damages, with the majority of them being made up or had been damaged before our arrival. If you ever decide to stay here (don't) document EVERYTHING on arrival. For example, we were charged for 6 new bath mats when there were no bath mats even to begin with.  We were absolutely scammed. One day we arrived home to the property manager cursing at tenants. He is extremely unprofessional, rude, and vulgar. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for a rental in Key West.

Unprofessional Staff and Overcharged for Damages

I recently had an overnight stay at southern most sanctuary. What a cute little place almost like a little cottage. We had a porch that was great to sit and people watch. The room itself was spotless! Has a full kitchen to cook breakfast to save some money if you needed to. Plenty of towels and they give you 4 beach towels . Free Wifi in the room.they have 2 jacuzzis. There  is street parking directly in front which is metered  from 8am until midnight I am pretty sure it is 2 or 3.00 per hour or you can park around the corner for free street parking. It is just a 5 or 10 minute walk to duval street and a 2 minute walk to the southernmost point. Great location. Directly next store is a store with treats, beverages and alcohol and the best part  from 7am to 3pm  next to the store is a Cuban cafe with amazing cafe con leche and a delicious Cuban breakfast for 8.00 bucks! You can't beat that in key west. Check in was a breeze which is at there main business office just 2 min away.
