The room decor was dated but very clean and roomy.  The mattresses were old and saggy.  We ended up sleeping in separate beds in order a half-way decent rest.  The breakfast was free.  Staff was friendly.

Decent place for a short stay

Ocean Woods Resort is perfect for a family get away. Close to the beach, with lots of bikes and wagons available. The pool and hot tub are on site, along with checkers in the lobby and a sandbox and frog pond outside. The cookies in the afternoon were a hit with all family members.

Great family place

Three adults and one child in the Condo apartment. All the amenities of a large apartment, close to all the services that Ocean Woods offers. The staff is super friendly, We all enjoyed the grounds as it was perfect for our youngster to play. The breakfast room was especially nice, and no better experience like waking up to the smell of fresh coffee. The upstairs restaurant is a pleasant experience, again for all of us. Nice walk to the beach as the beach was spotless and not crowded. Bottom line is Ocean Woods resort is a great place to have some good quality family time. We look forward to returning and hopefully with more family members.

Great place to stay for families

Beautiful hotel, in a beautiful setting. Nice, clean rooms. Awesome landscaping including a pond and small bridge. There's a fire pit to enjoy at night. The Continental breakfast included homemade scones. We had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful.

Quaint and homey.  The staff were very friendly and accommodating.  Great location to get to other places.  Room 102 needs the air conditioning unit replaced.  The room was too warm.  When we arrived we found out the pub was closed on Tues. and Wed. In mid summer with resort at full capacity??  Nice outdoor area to sit; fire pit, hot tub and pool.  Older condition but comfy.

Three day vacation

Beds squeaked terribly every time I moved and were very uncomfortable. No shades or blinds on the windows only curtains. If the light is on you can see your silhouette from outside the window. 
Parking is also an issue if you arrive around 9pm after dinner. Also when checking out no one was available at the desk 

Proprietor was rude and offensive towards me.  Breakfast was terrible and served till 10:am. All the scones were gone and never replenished . When I asked the proprietor if there were anymore left. She replied there were no more left. I only bake a certain amount.

Terrible Hotel to stay at. Room inferior and in need of updating

The hotel is located in the middle of the forest, which we really liked and the rooms are large and the beds are comfortable; it is very quiet. The reception was impersonal and neutral. The environment is beautiful and unique; the beach in Gehnähe (15 minutes) was also worth a visit with a nice sunset. There is also a very recommended restaurant! Otherwise you need the car; Kennebunkport is about 9 miles away. The breakfast is not really the talk, but we were warned about this and therefore not disappointed, as the price-to-cost ratio was fine at that time. The breakfast ice cream and we had to pack up quite warm for years; everything is a little in the morning and we did not stop in the forest because of the stand; nevertheless, we did not stop because of the situation.

The years have come

Located away from the commercial bustle of Kennebunkport and very close to the beach we enjoyed our stay in this old but clean hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. Ordinary lunch in this kind of Maine hotel very nice (exception: the hot blue scones...with a coffee) Ten minutes walk from the beach if you like the air and Goose Rocks and its beautiful residences are to see.

A positive experience

Very nice place, a little isolated but close to the gorgeous Goose Rocks beach. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and the site well laid out. The pool would need a little renovation but it is still suitable.

Rest and comfort

A small relaxation area by the sea, very clean room, breakfast provided every morning.
