I've been staying at this chain for decades, but this was my first return after a long hiatus due to COVID.  What did I experience?   1.  When I pulled the vinyl chair out from under the work desk, it had large areas of grease/oil on the arms & seat, the kind that was visible from several feet away.  Obviously the person who cleaned the room did not clean under the desk, so never pulled out the chair, or, worse, didn't care about the mess on the chair.  2. There wasn't a clock in the room.  When I called the front desk (FD), the young man said "Some rooms have them and some don't."  There wasn't a paper notepad to write on in the room either, nor a pen.  3. There was no TV channel line-up in the room.  The FD said they no longer provide that, but "You can see it on Channel 1."  I turned to Channel 1 and got a black screen with the notice: "Signal scrambled or too weak." Even the "Info" button on the remote didn't function.  4.  The wireless for my laptop was so slow it was like being transported back to 1998.  Sometimes it didn't work at all, and I got a message that said: "Too many others are currently in use."  This was on a Sunday evening when it looked like there were about four cars in the parking lot.  In the morning I was the only person in the breakfast area for the half-hour I was there.  I think the place had very few residents.  4.   I didn't like the temperature in the room when I arrived (too cold),  so I tried to raise it at the thermostat on the wall.  No matter what I did, it reverted to the original temperature setting.  The FD offered no help---he suggested maybe the motel had control of the temperature and that guests couldn't change it---so I gave up.  He should have been able to tell me what the new man at the desk did the next morning, namely that the thermostat does work, but it's just very counter-intuitive to figure out how, which he then explained.  5.  I had a very poor night of sleep.  Noise from a couple in the hallway, constantly knocking at each other's door between midnight and 1 am, sounded like it was in my room.  The noise came right through the door, probably through the large opening under it.  Also, the exhaust fan in the bathroom, which is non-controllable, is quite loud, almost like a mini-roar. 6. Finally...during my stay I spoke with four different members of the motel staff.  None ever wore a mask.  
As you can probably guess, I would not return.

What the heck has happened to Country Inn & Suites?

This hotel overall was a positive experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. They did offer breakfast and it was pretty good. This property is under new management and I think they are working on improving the property. Our biggest complaint is the signage.  It’s set back behind some car dealerships. A much taller sign would be VERY helpful. Great value for sure.

Checked in Thursday for 3 nights. Every desk clerk was friendly and made me feel right at home the entire stay. Linda in the breakfast room was such a pleasure. Felt like mom taking care of me. Hallways were clean and tile was being mopped when I got there. Room was clean, spacious with lots of desk/counter space. Sure, it's not luxury but for my needs I got great value booking thru websites for discount. Even Dawn in housekeeping greeted me with a warm smile. The staff is a delight. Worst part is finding it. Without a talking app I turned too soon and had to circle around a few blocks. As soon as you exit I 85 go thru traffic light, get between the yellow lines for the left turn driveway. 3 carlengths may need to wait for traffic to clear. Landmark US Auto sign easier to see. I will stay again. 

Best staff and value

The stay was very affordable my room was clean the staff was wonderful didnt have any complaints came here with my kids football team and they treated us well our entire stay the breakfast was even good

I ended up doing a last minute same day reservation and got an excellent deal on Hotwire. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly, location is great, right next to the highway. During this time, because of COVID, many hotels are no longer serving breakfast or are doing bag breakfasts. However, this is not the case with this hotel. They still serve hot breakfast consisting of bacon, grits, scrambled eggs, biscuits and fried potatoes. You just tell the lady what you want and she makes the plate for you. In, my opinion, this is great!! Overall experience has been great!

Wonderful Stay

We’ve stayed in five hotels over the last six nights. This one was the finest quality at the lowest cost; you can’t do better than that. Tyler, the young man at the desk, was very helpful when the AC unit wasn’t functioning properly. Highly recommended.

Superb quality for the price

There was a cigarette butt beside the nightstand, food left in the fridge but we were moved to another room.  The bathroom had a very large palmetto bug in the bathroom. My card has been charged multiple times and I called to ask questions but never got a call back.  I was disappointed because I expected a thorough cleaning due to the Covid-19. I wouldn't stay there again.

After I went back to front desk I was never even offered a complimentary room or even a discount. Horrible experience. 

Very bad experience

When I booked this hotel I expected a Radisson experience.  The photos looked good.  Here's what I found.  It was a Comfort Inn at some point.  The remodel to a Country Inn and Suites must have been within the last year as the hotel is clean and doesn't show any signs of wear.  All the paint is clean as is the plumbing in bathrooms.  The staff is very nice and will help you in any way they can.  We didn't like the first room and they moved us to another.  The bathroom faucet was loose in the second which I easily fixed and told them about it.  Everything seems OK, but there's something missing.  Room was clean, pool was closed due to COVID 19.  So I get that.  Maybe it's the hallway carpet......it doesn't look like Radisson quality.  The designer missed the mark.  The location is behind a car dealer, nothing special to see, but it is very convenient to I-85 and restaurants and shopping.  The manager was nice as was staff.  The experience just lacked something.  Just can't say what it was.  At $100 a night I guess I can't complain.  Bed was comfortable.

Mixed feelings

Terrible accommodations...needs better people skills..probably won't reccomend this hotel to anyone..but to each is own...this was my first and last time at this property..was very unhappy with the handling of the process
