So glad we stumbled onto Old Stone Farm - it's so beautiful, the staff is so friendly and helpful and the food is delicious! I especially like the smoked salmon in the mornings. My boyfriend actually proposed to me on the property (the staff knew all about it beforehand and helped orchestrate it!) so Old Stone Farm will always hold a special place in my heart.

Beautiful Experience

Visited as a potential wedding venue.    Impressed with the beauty of the site, implementation of a most interesting design and facilities plan, the management approach, excellent maintenance and appearance of the historic rooms and grounds, and the "extras" he including interaction with rooming horses.

I made reservations here after searching TripAdvisor for a pet-friendly weekend getaway locations in the Hudson Valley for my husband's birthday, where we could take our two 5-month old puppies. The guest house of this beautifully renovated farm, turned bed-and-breakfast, was available to meet (and exceed) our desires. And what an amazing weekend we had in this beautiful and peaceful land. We reconnected with our divine, peaceful nature being here. 

The food is not only farm-to-table, organic, local, fresh and healthy, but beyond delicious.  The accommodations were clean, comfortable and restorative. The scenery is gorgeous, with over 20 beautiful horses on the property, hiking trails and hundreds of acres of Hudson Valley beauty. Sarah's yoga class in the main barn was phenomenal. But the best part was the staff. Not only was everyone hospitable and friendly, but also truly kind, caring and amazing people. We had wonderful conversations with Waddy, Atticus, Annette, Danielle, Sarah, and especially Jeff. We highly recommend this piece of heaven on earth.

Heaven on earth! Worth every penny.

From the moment we entered its gates and glimpsed the idyllic setting of Old Stone Farm, all tension instantly melted away.  It is hard to say which had more of an impact: the incredibly serene, pastoral setting or the consistently eager to please staff.  They have some kind of recipe for instant bliss...carefully curated textiles and Shaker furniture in luxurious rooms, healthy and delicious gourmet food, and people who truly want to make your stay superlative.  Our massages at the spa were great, and the epona experience with the horses is unique and meaningful.  Our equilibrium was restored after some difficult events in the past few months, and we only hope to maintain some bit of that inner peace we felt at this magical place.  Thank you Jeff and staff for your kindness!

Endless Serenity

Not too long ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and was seeking a beautiful quiet place to go inward and heal.  I also needed someplace that would accomodate my dietary needs.  Based on a recommendation from a friend,  I booked two days at The Old Stone Barn.  They took care of me.  
Jeff picked me up at the Rhinecliff station and dropped me off.   He is such a gentle caretaker. 
Matt is a wondrous cook.   Everything is farm fresh.   Amazing food. 
Everyone on staff is so kind, gentle and caring. 
The room (Hawkins) had lovely views.   It was ample, comfy and smelled nice.  The artwork is lovely.   It is all very zen in a horse farm sort of way. 
I did some horse whispering,  meditated with the geese,  was fluttered by monarchs and stared down by a young doe. 
This is a soulful place that brings you back to who you are.   Here commune with God and nature.    Here rest.    Here listen to the wind, the birds, the neighing of the horses, the crickets.
