We stayed in the lovely Silver 8 bed Caravan at 28 Rockley Vale. It was clean, tidy and perfect for my sister and I and our kids. We felt warm and secure and enjoyed both time on site and at local areas as the weather was pretty terrible each day. We stayed Monday to Friday over Halloween. We are at Barrell and Mash - we had a wait a long time, but food was great. We cooked in the caravan a few times, as well as going to the Yauctsman Pub which was lovely. We walked to the beach - in the rain, we played crazy golf, swimming (I agree with the other reviews that most of the lockers are broken) , played football on the court, spend time in the arcades as well as honing into Poole to visit Putt Putt Noodle and Flip out on the really wet days. We went to moores valley that was great, although 'go ape' was closed, as we had a different half term to others. Both were very quiet and enjoyable. I would certainly return and ask to stay in the same caravan. It was perfect for what we needed. The cousin squad had a great time. 

Caravan Cousin Squad

We stayed for 3 nights in the October half term, the weather was very windy and rainy but it did not stop us from enjoying our weekend away. The caravan was a silver grade in pine grove right next to the beach, which we loved, I paid the extra to book a caravan of choice. The view was beautiful. The caravan was spotless and the beds made with high quality linen, the heating was on so we were all warm and cosy. The grandchildren loved all the facilities and the arcade was the favourite. We all enjoyed a fish and chip supper. The site was kept very clean and tidy and shop was well stocked although we went to the supermarket just up the road. Poole is so nice to explore.  We found the staff very helpful and we had no issues at all. We will be back, thank you. 

Perfect stay with the grandkids 

Just returned from a 3 day stay at Rockley Park and already looking to book next year. Caravan was amazing for the price we paid, fireworks were fantastic, my grandson loved them. Entertainment was the highlight of our stay they were so good and catered for all ages. Massive respect to Jordan and the team your hard work stood out and we had the best time. We ate at the mash and barrel twice and the food was so good definitely recommend the Sunday roast dinner.
Look forward to coming back!!

Fantastic stay!

We stayed here for 3 nights last week and had a wonderful time. There is so much to do for the children.

The caravan was spotless and very roomy. We loved it so much that as soon as we came home, we booked for next year.

We had a tight itinerary to stick to so unfortunately didn't have any time to explore the area but will next time.

Food is great but very limited menu in my opinion.

However, great atmosphere (bar staff a bit grumpy though) and a lovely well kept campsite <3

this is one of havens better sites, well best i been on will be going back next year, lovely beach ,cafe on beach was great place to sit and watch the sailing boats, caravan was clean,as was the site its self, only thing i had trouble with was the menu said lunch was from 11am to 4 pm, but was told  by staff it did not start till 12pm,   i was not the only one disappointed at this , its not the staff on sites fault, but haven they should look into this and change times on menus

Have become regulars here as my son is at Southampton University and is easy for him to join us for a few days. Never tire of it, the park is well placed well maintained and in a lovely location surrounded by places to visit. The  staff are always friendly,check in very easy caravans always spotless and well looked after and site facilities seem fine(we don't use them).Handy for Poole and days out,always a pleasure to visit.

Fantastic Place

Booked a cheap 4 night break through Haven at Rockley Park.  The park is situated on the river estuary and there is a small beach.  The park itself is quite hilly.  There is a regular bus service into Poole town centre and costs £4 return.  We didn't use any of the facilities on the park except the Mash and Barrel restaurant, where the food was good and reasonably priced.  The park is in an ideal position to explore Poole and the surrounding area.

Good cheap break

First time staying at a Haven park, we have an 18 month old so wanted to stay in the UK for a long weekend break.

We visited September 16th-19th to avoid peak season but could still catch some good weather.

Check in was done from the car by providing reference number to security. This is an excellent feature. After a 6 hour drive, this went very smoothly and was a bonus.

Booked Silver class accommodation and was very impressed with our caravan, We stayed in 42 Gorse Hill. The caravan was huge including an en suite bathroom, fully wrap around decking and walk in wardrobe were all welcomed surprises. We were very close to the amenities which was ideal for our little one, who can only walk short distances at the moment.

We took park in the mini golf (£3 per person) which was great, albeit a bit tired and a little worn out in places - but totally worth it for the price.

The booking of swimming time slots is a little frustrating. We turned up 10 mins early and was told to come back at the exact time. The problem with time slots is that the changing rooms become very busy - if the intention is for COVID then surely this defeats the object?

We were only able to swim once as we could not get another booking that fitted our schedule. I only imagine this is even more impossible during peak season.

The pool facilities are ok, there is a slide in the main pool area and a decent flume. Both of which didn't open for at least 20/30 minutes into our session. The kids/toddler area is a few sprinklers that come out of the floor - nothing special but our 18 month old loved it.

The flume was enjoyable when we took turns to ride it.

There is an site shop which offers a large selection of products, at a slightly inflated price as you can imagine.

We ate at the Mash and Barrel restaurant. Even though we pre booked a table, the service was slow. Considering this was off peak the service was pretty poor. When ordering our meal at the bar there was several trays of people's drinks just going flat sat there, as there was not enough staff to cope. I hate to think what this place is like when it is really busy.

Food was ok, but I wouldn't chose to eat there again.

On our last night, I ordered Papa Johns on the app, collected and took back to the table in the entertainment area. The pizzas were very nice, albeit a little expensive.

Entertainment is cheap and cheerful as you can imagine, but our little one loved the music and noise.

£11ish for a beer and a cider. The draught Madri was actually a really nice pint of beer.

If Haven read this review please MOVE THE SMOKING AREA. The location of the smoking are is baffling, you almost have to walk through it to get to the entertainment complex. Nothing quite like a breath of cigarette smoke as you walk into a building.

The location of this park is stunning, right on the coast for excellent sea views and a few minutes walk to the small beach - and just a few minutes drive into Poole beach which is beautiful. Just under an hours drive to Paultons Park theme park as well.

Overall I rate our experience 3,5/5 which I have rounded 4/5.

I would stay here again if we could get the same caravan. I would not stay here during peak season and I hope Haven can sort the food situation and move the smoking area.

Excellent location 3.5/5

My partner and i had a 4nt break in a basic caravan.  There were a couple of minor issues with smeared mirrors and hand prints on windows and kettle needed descaling. Like i say it was no big issue but was rectified in 10mins by the lovely cleaner.  The location is great for exploring Dorset,  we got the open top bus to The sandbanks which took about 30mins. The beach is stunning.  Entertainment was average and bar prices were reasonable. On site shop was also well priced and fully stocked. In all we had a lovely relaxing holiday, definitely will be returning 

Relaxing break 

Overall, this was a good laid out site but had found that we had selected a unit next to the main service yard which was operational from 6am in the morning and were woken up by deliveries. However, we did get a visit from one of the staff after about an hour after arriving which was the first time I had ever seen this done. We would be likely to visit the site again in the next 12 months or so.
