What a gem!!! Arrived flustered and tired and had such a warm welcome from Alan ( what a lovely man).
The room was gorgeous with breathtaking views, and it was so quiet, which is perfect for me as I have a hectic job.
I had a wonderful nights sleep on an extremely comfortable bed, and took a long shower with lots of hot water in the large bathroom.
Breakfast was yummy, lots to eat and it was very very tasty.
I really hope I get to stay here again as it was absolutely wonderful

Beautiful B&B

Such a lovely place, quiet with beautiful views. Clean and tidy and lovely host Alan, welcomed us. Breakfast was great. Room was well decorated, clean and tidy and plenty of milk for tea and coffee. Would recommend. Easy to find and lovely views across the fields.

Great place to stay

Very helpful staff and a clean and comfy room. Excellent heating which was very welcome after a day spent out in the rain

Excellent

Chancery House was recommended by a friend, and he was right. The B&B was a farmhouse in former days..the rooms are light and airy, clean and comfortable. Its a bit remote so with the agreement of the owner, we brought in fish and chips and ate them in a roof top conservatory. (No deliveries this far out ) There are a lot of good eateries a short drive away. Lovely full English breakfasts set us up for the day. Alan the owner is pleasant and kind..would definitely stay there again if we were in the area. 

Comfortable and Peaceful.

Lovely quiet setting. Room very comfortable with good facilities e.g drinks, hair dryer etc.
Breakfast excellent with choice of gluten free options which was very helpful.
Host, Alan very accommodating and friendly. Was able to put our Motorcycle on the drive where it was secure.

We are from Kent & travelled down in the late evening. Alan was so accommodating & helpful. We stayed in the holiday home which was a lovely size with a private garden. All the windows overlooked the fields that seemed to go on forever! The bed was so comfortable too. The next morning we had an amazing breakfast cooked by Alan. It was the perfect impromptu visit. We will definitely be back!!

Perfect night away!

You need a SatNav to find this charming retreat, but it is worth the drive, and you are surrounded by magnificent Devon countryside. There is a first floor lounge/reading room/Summer room which is comfortable, relaxing and displays magnificent sunsets. My room was large, spacious and my breakfast was superb.

In the middle of the Devon countryside.

Breakfast, Wow! Amazing and well sourced from local suppliers of quality food. definitely not from a Supermarket. Fresh Orange juice, tea etc, three different cereals, fully, full English breakfast and then toast and marmalade. Alan the host, is very friendly,  helpful. The room was large, beds comfy. En -suite and whole place very clean. Beautiful countryside views. would recommend.

Excellent B and B if you are looking for peace and calm, but not isolation.

We stayed here for two nights with our toddler back in September, in the room with a bunk bed and massive bathroom. The room was clean and more than enough for our needs. It's definitely in a peaceful remote location but with decent road access. The small car park over the road was busy when we first arrived with only one space. The breakfasts we had were very good, full English the first morning and then eggs on toast the second.

Lovely stay in a quiet location

Lovely B&B off the beaten track in North Devon.....well worth the effort though. Rooms/facilities were excellent and very clean. Breakfasts were first class. Alan was an excellent host - nothing being to much trouble. Highly recommended.
