Really comfy king mattress. Lovely views. 5 star breakfast (thank you Mark for accommodating our quirky requests!).  Friendly, welcoming host who couldn't do enough for us. We wish you all the best Mark in your growing business. Would recommend it to anyone who wanted a peaceful romantic break.

A very warm welcome was given when we arrived by Mark and we were shown to our room (Rhandregywnen Suite) which was very impressive, especially the en suite. We asked about places to eat locally and were given directions to some restaurants. We also asked about if we could bring in a takeaway and Mark kindly set the table up for us and as all other guests were out that evening we had a lovely romantic meal in the dining room. The bed was super comfy and the jacuzzi bath was superb. The only negative we have is that the cleanliness could be improved upon in some places although Mark explained he is going through a tough divorce at the moment so we cut him some slack. He was so obliging making breakfast at 10 for us so we could have a lie in and it was absolutely yummy. In fact we didn't want to leave and will be booking again very soon but this time for a full weekend :)

Best Night's Sleep Ever...!

A relaxing night's stay

We had a lovely room with en suite which was quiet impressive to walk into when first checking in,  the problem with this room is that it is next to the owners private part of the house & we could hear everything he was doing. It was almost like we were sharing the en suite with him, The b&b has potential but in it's current state it really shouldn't be used as a guest house for a number of reasons. There are obviously electrical problems as there is an extension lead that runs from the guest side of the house to the private side which runs across the bottom of the stairs. The door that joins the two halves of the house together is directly under the room we were staying in so every time the owner went though the door it would slam shut if you want to have a sleep in I don't believe anyone would be able to with how loud that door is. Also on our first night we went to watch the TV but found there was no cable so we couldn't. We asked the owner the next day if he would sort it out while we was gone for the day on our return we checked to see if he had done this for us & he hadn't because he was nowhere to be seen so my partner went & got one out of an empty room. Now the breakfast I have to say the owner did cook a lovely full English but there were so many flies! you are so busy trying to eat it before the flies do we had that for the first two mornings & on the third morning the owner very kindly offered the choice of a continental breakfast which was nice for a change, the only problem with this was he had put the ham, cheese & tomato out before we even came down for breakfast with no cover over it so the fly beat us to it! The owner seems to be a very nice guy but is going though some hard times at this moment in time he could really do with some help or a vacation of his own.

Accident waiting to happen!

Location perfect,  experience not quite. 

Phone call on the way asking when we would arrive as the owner was going to leave a note should have given me a clue. The room and en-suite looked fantastic but no aerial cable in the Tv,  despite asking 3 times in the end i robbed one myself from an empty room on day 2. The owner did explain why there was no cable but did nothing about it until after i had sorted it. Flies were a problem in the dining room,  communal breakfast around a large table not ideal if you want a private conversation with your partner.  Day 2 breakfast very slow but nice. Day 3 breakfast was continental but skipped the cheese and meats because of the flies.  Just cover it up!.. and the slamming doors! The owner cursed them too as he had to have them for fire regs but the dining room door was propped open permanently and the constantly slamming one was under our room and woke me earlier than i wanted every morning. 
The first 2 days'  breakfast plates,  dishes still there at 5pm each day, only had to close the door to the dining room and kitchen,  didn't look good and the flies! 
Only got room tea coffee and milk refills on day 3.
Its a real shame and echoed by the latest reviews. Its lost the lustre of 5 stars,  it wasn't worth the money and the owner must try harder as just been a nice guy and around occasionally isn't enough clearly. I wish him all the best but I can't recommend it. 

A rough diamond

Booked without checking tripadvisor. Terrible mistake. 
It'd hard to know where to start but I'll go with the worst thing - there is no heating. The radiators never came on, anywhere in the building. The under floor heating in the bathroom just didn't work. We had our young son with us and were forced to keep him in bed with us because it got so cold overnight. 
Thankfully we were only booked a single night. Unfortunately we had no choice but to stay as it was too late to leave by the time we got back from dinner to a very cold room.
We'd asked earlier about the heating but as the owner wasn't even around the lady 'helping out' just said she'd check. 
Did I mention that was over the phone? Because when we arrived the house was empty, the door was open and there was a note pinned to it with a mobile number. The door remained open the whole time we were there. Even at night. 
How about breakfast? Well in a cold room it got cold pretty quick. But maybe that was a good thing as it meant we didn't eat much before going for a yoghurt, except they were 4 days out of date which made me wonder about the odd taste the toast had, and certainly explained the stale cereal we avoided. 
The single worst experience I have ever paid for, at any price, anywhere. 
Please don't go. It is a lovely building, with lovely rooms but it's not a B&B, just a cold, empty building.
