Excelent !!!

We had a fabulous stay here last weekend with my in-laws.  The staff are very friendly, the rooms are excellent, clean and very spacious, whilst the breakfast was perfect. Although the weather was rather inclement, we could see how the pretty garden would be very attractive in the summer.

This is the second time we have stayed here!! And I’ll be honest I won’t stay anywhere else when we are down in this part of the country! Lovely welcome! Amazing apartment and such good value! I stayed at a 5 star earlier this year and it was no where near as good as this. My kids love it here, it’s so welcoming and clean. Beds are super comfortable! The breakfast is always amazing! If I could give this place 10 stars I would

This is a charming B&B.  Helen and Jason are wonderful inn keepers and accommodated our early arrival and late departure like it was no trouble at all. While we were waiting for the taxi to take us to Heathrow at 6 pm, Helen gave us coffee and cookies. This is just an example of what felt like individualized service the 3 days we enjoyed their hospitality. And the breakfast—we had just spent 14 days on a cruise ship and Jason’s breakfast outshone those offerings. English bacon, butcher shop sausage, eggs to order, an assortment of fruits, yogurts, pastries and breads (including crumpets which was a real treat to us Americans).  Our room was well appointed,  clean, well-stocked with coffee and tea and had large windows that we could leave open to hear kids playing on the nearby sports field. Helen was helpful with advice about the scenic route into town, how to navigate the bus system, and the advisability of renting a car for a couple of days. There is a generous car park area and it seems that several guests took advantage of the free parking. We highly recommend Cricket Field House. . 

Lovely Stay

This was our second stay at CFH and wow it just gets better every time. My partner and I were travelling with our 6 month old daughter and it was such an easy experience. The staff are really lovely and friendly. Helen the lady who checked us in was lovely and showed us around and gave us some local recommendations in the area as wanted to explore a bit more this time around. 
We stayed in the Umpire apartment which was lovely and clean, the sheets are amazing. We slept so well. Also to mention the baby cot was high quality something which is always a worry when travelling with a bambino.
The breakfast was lovely. Jason I believe who is in the kitchen makes a great poached egg! That’s well worth returning for!!! 
On the whole a lovely little home away from home. Nothing is too much trouble and we will definitely be back hopefully sooner rather than later. Ignore the bad reviews. It’s not a 5 star hotel, but it’s clean cozy and quiet with great staff. What more could you want 😊 Great job!!! ⭐️

Such an amazing place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We only had an overnight stay at Cricket Field House, but we were greeted with a warm welcome and the family apartment we had felt home from home.
My kids loved playing hide and seek in the gardens and it was a perfect location for exploring the beautiful Salisbury and we even got in a lovely run in the morning.

We are locals. We arrived home from a holiday to find damage caused by burst pipes and needed accommodation close to home for a couple of weeks. We are so pleased we chose to stay at Cricket Field House. We had a spacious apartment room, decorated in calming neutral colours, with a sofa, small kitchen, en-suite shower room and patio doors opening onto the beautiful gardens. We were glad to be able to make ourselves a quick evening meal, switch off the stress, kIck back and relax in the evenings.

In the mornings we were greeted cheerily by Helen and her team and were fed an excellent breakfast to send us on our way. The breakfast menu offers an extensive choice with something for everyone; including cereals, pastries, toast, crumpets, fresh fruit salad, berries, yogurts, whole fresh fruit, cheese and cold meats, not to mention the hearty cooked breakfast. Helen is justifiably proud that the delicious bacon and sausages are locally sourced from a traditional butcher with long links to Salisbury city (pardon the sausage pun). Vegetarian and vegan options are also offered. Cricket Field House really was a peaceful oasis for us and we are grateful to Helen and Jason for their thoughtful, friendly kindness. We felt they went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay, however, from what I observed in the two weeks we were with them, they did the same for all their guests, anticipating needs, responding to requests and taking the trouble to remember small details.

There is plenty of free parking, peaceful gardens with many seating areas to enjoy, a regular bus service into the city centre and railway station. It is a three minute stroll to watch a game of cricket in the summer and there is a golf course too (no need to book, just turn up), just beyond the hedge. Local attractions such as Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Salisbury Playhouse, Arundells and the railway station (trains to Bath, London, etc), are all within easy reach by bus which stops a few minutes away. We would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Cricket Field House.

A Very Relaxing Place to Stay

What a beautiful place to stay. 
My partner & i stayed here for 2 nights in the oval suite.  
It is absolutely beautiful.  
The layout & decor were fantastic.
One thing that really stood out is that the property is laid out beautifully for wheelchair users & people who cant manage stairs.  Even as you enter the apparrment, the light switch is at hip height!  
Did not get to view the main garden due to poor weather.
The dinning room is stunning. 
Not often do you find a dinning room so beautifully decorated.
The cooked breakfast was delicious.
The continental breakfast was amazing, so much variety.  Jason & Helen really do think of everything.  
Parking is plentyful & safe with a multitude of cameras as is the rest of the property. 
In summary, this property is so beautiful, serene , calm & safe. It is a sheer delight to stay here.  
Jason, Helen & Sandy really do make sure you enjoy your stay.  

HOWZAT!!

This is a lovely bed and breakfast in Salisbury, only a short drive from the centre of the city.

We stayed in the Pitch Suite and the views were very scenic, looking out onto the cricket pitch and pavilion.

Our room was very cosy whilst being spacious, nice large bed, just a tad too soft for me though.

The breakfast was delicious and there was a variety to choose from.

The service was wonderful.

I would definitely recommend a stay here.

A wonderful Bed and Breakfast 🎄

Booked for 2 nights 28th to 30th December 2022 to visit Salisbury.
Room 6, The Oval £145 per night Inc breakfast & parking.
On first view, room was nicely set out and decorated, but on closer inspection it wasn't as clean as we thought.
Cobwebs on ceiling and huge ones behind bed headboard, if I was an arachnophobe, I wouldn't have been able to sleep there! 
Mould around windows & dirty tiles in shower too.
Also room was not serviced on 2nd day despite putting the sign out, so we ran short of tea etc.had we been staying longer I would have pointed this out to the host.
Breakfast was very good, but again some cutlery was missing!
Overall not too bad but not value for money, but good location for the town.
We did not mention these faults to the host as she was booking someone else in as we left.
