We came for a weeks stay with family for a quiet, relaxing getaway and we got just that! Beautiful lodge fully equipped and spacious and stunning lakes which you can fish off!!.. everyone was so friendly and helpful :) We made use of Aztec adventures on the main lake paddle boarding and kayaking which was great fun (even better with 50% off discount for staying onsite!) The children loved the swimming pool as they were the only ones in it daily and lovely set up of the bar overlooking the lake for a chilled drink after their swim. The location was perfect, we drove to the other Aztec lake for the Aqua park and enjoyed crazy golf and a train ride at ‘the valley’. We also went alpaca trekking which was only 20 min drive away. They have some lovely restaurants close by athe Chequers was gorgeous food and the Flanbury pie locally sourced was insane! :)… We had a really relaxing lovely week :) would 1000% come back again.

We had a lovely week here.  Stayed in Lodge Number 20.  It’s mainly a private owners site, so minimal rentals available. 
A very quiet place to just unwind & relax.  Lots of lovely walks from the Lodge.  

The Lodge itself was immaculate and very comfortable.  We did get to sit out on the decking once or twice.  All in all a very relaxing week away.  So peaceful.

We had a wonderful time here, the lodge was the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Site is very quiet, everyone was polite and friendly. The swimming pool was great, didn’t have to book there was just a limit on numbers. Loads of fantastic restaurants nearby. Clubhouse was reasonably priced for drinks. Water sports available on the lake run by a separate company, they were also very welcoming. 
Would definitely recommend this holiday park , to anyone who is concerned about booking ref cleanliness and covid, don’t be, the management make sure the guidelines are adhered to and the cleaners do a fantastic job.

We stayed for a week in the Portland Lodge Springs Lakeside Holiday Park.  The park was very quiet no noise at all. The utensils and crockery were minimal only four of each and no tin opener.  We had a slight view of the lake as our lodge was not positioned by the lake.  We found one of the residents did not like anyone walking by their lodge as considered the throughfare to the lake to be private.  This attitude spoilt out holiday as we wanted to take photos of the ducks and geese and were unable to do so.

Our 3rd holiday here and we weren't disappointed , Very Covid aware Hats off to the cleaners .Had a telephone call prior to visit to explain new system and to avoid contact as much as possible .Fabulous site , clean quiet and lovely walks .lodge spotless and has everything you need. Thank you guys you are stars. Felt very safe

Just returned from a lovely week stay in a Portland Lodge on this site.  All communication was excellent with clear guidelines with regard to the new cleaning rules for all lodges.

This was a family holiday - 2 adults and 1 child (8 years old).  We were lucky that the swimming pool was open for use and was very well managed and cleaned.  We even had it to ourselves a few times.

The Portland Lodge was new to site - residents had said it had only been open for two weeks.  The Lodge was great.  Even in the heat, the site had provided a large fan (which was greatly appreciated).  It had everything we needed, although due to new cleaning rules, you only get four of everything, which can be interesting as we found we never had enough plates, cups and glasses as they were in the dishwasher (which never got full enough to put on).  Small gripe I know.

In the heat (strange for the UK, I know), it would be good to have a parasol on the decking.  The decking got too hot during our stay and you couldn't stand on it in bare feet but we also couldn't sit out on it without any shade.

Wifi was excellent.  We were able to stream Prime and Disney+ with no issues.  Just need to register every 24 hours.

There is a clubhouse which is open for drinks, swimming pool and a water sports company on the lake (separate to the site).  You get a discount at the water sports (Aztec Adventures) if you are staying on site.

We took our bikes and the staff were very helpful in telling us where to cycle (with a child).  Our son was happy to swim, cycle and use the water sports.  We were happy to relax.

Residents told us to feed the fish.  I recommend this, it is quite a sight!!  Our son loved it!

The staff were great, so helpful and all the residents on site were lovely and happy to chat away with our son - who seemed to talk to everyone!

I'll say it again, the staff were amazing.  All staff members we saw and spoke to were very helpful and informative.  We all felt looked after and that nothing was too much trouble,

I have recommended this site to other family members and would visit again.

10 out of 10 for cleaners they do grand job.
Wold recommend this to all ages.
Really central for places to visit.

The site is so relaxing and peaceful , well maintained luxury lodge overlooking a fishing lake , where my husband spends some time while I relax on the deck with a good book.
Maybe not the place to visit with teenagers as the only facility on site is a swimming pool , 
In a great location for visiting the Cotswolds .... would highly recommend

Thank you all so much for such a peaceful, relaxing stay in New Hampshire No 5.  We visited many interesting places in the area but it was always lovely to return to the comfort of the lodge at the end of the day.  We were blessed with good weather and beautiful sunsets over the lake.  

We would have no hesitation in recommending you and hope to return in the future.
