Posting this for my husband - these are his words. He stayed there with our daughter.
It happens very rarely, but is always unforgettable when it does. This house, its views and the family who make it a home are that rare thing: something ordinary, made extraordinary.
The most comfortable bed, crisp cotton sheets, perfect peace and the most delicious breakfast. Oh my, the food!
Hester and the Sale family are impeccable hosts.
We stayed one night only, driving from Scotland - but I am still thinking about our stay. It made an indelible impression.

Gold at Mine Hill

This was on the whole a really good experience. Great old house with beautiful pictures and very comfortable bed.Breakfast was good but fruit an jogourt would have been a good addition.Very small television did not work maybe because of the wind! Room not that suitable for older people as bath with no showerhead. I thought it was a bit expensive.Friendly host and hostess and lots of character

Highly Recommend this B&B. Lovely house with a  wonderful bright and cheerful bedroom with ensuite bathroom - incredibly comfortable bed. A very warm welcome with a Delicious Breakfast  in the morning. Perfectly located in the Cotswolds.

Superb B & B

A querky house full of character. What a view! And so peaceful.
We were greeted by an enthusiastic Sorrell, and chilled George! 
We were looked after wonderfully, by Millie, who was a star. Full English breakfast and pancakes, for the fussy one, daily. A real treat. 
The lack of rain meant being frugal with water, as they are on a well. But we met the challenge, as only us British can! 

Family wedding

Booked as a night away with husband for birthday, visiting the Cotswolds Distillery. What a lovely family that run this beautiful bed & breakfast, felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. Surroundings are stunning, B&B is everything you could ask for, clean and relaxing I just wish we'd been staying for more than one night. Food was excellent, if you're lucky enough to stay here then definitely treat yourself to an evening meal, we've eaten in many lovely restaurants but I'd be hard pushed to think of somewhere that I've had better food than at Mine Hill House. We will definitely be returning and next time will take the children, they will love it just as much as we did. Thank you for making our stay so perfect.

Looking forward to staying again

I spent two nights very comfortably at Mine Hill House. It seemed to be a very busy time for the household, but Ed and Hester made it work.  A very comfortable room with lovely linens and towels and the most fabulous views of the surrounding countryside.  Fortunately located on top of a hill, as I was there during an uncharacteristically hot spell, the breeze coming in two open windows cooled off the room off nicely.  As mentioned in other reviews, no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and I was not comfortable wandering down into the kitchen to make my own.  In spite of occasionally spotty television reception, the wifi signal was strong and consistent. I managed in the tub, but perhaps a spray nozzle might be helpful?  Breakfast cooked by Hester was delicious, as she was in the kitchen preparing other foods for her catering business.  Delicious home made breads for toast.  SatNav got me there just fine, but with no signage on the long drive, I was not sure I was in the right spot (the website does however warn of this).  A little off the beaten path, but comfortable and calming.
