Elm Tree Lodge is a real gem of a hotel in Keswick. A short walking distance from the town centre and close to public transport stops if you aren’t travelling by car. Our room was well equipped, the bed was comfortable and every little detail had been well thought out. Breakfast is highly recommended too and the host couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable and pleasant. We will definitely be returning in future!

We had a fantastic weekend at Elm tree lodge. Greeted with a warm welcome to find an immaculate twin room and bathroom. The whole bed and breakfast is tastefully decorated with a personal touch yet still extremely clean. Breakfast was fabulous. The host was very welcoming and shown a genuine interest in guests plans. Lots of nice touches such as self closing (quiet) doors, automatic lights, WiFi qr in room and beds made daily with tea coffee replenishment too. Possibly the best bed and breakfast we've stayed in and amazing value for the price paid. Look forward to returning 😊

I spent 2 nights at Elm Tree Lodge and would not hesitate to book again.  This is a very well run B&B with a comfortable, homely feel (plus excellent wi-fi). The location is a quiet street very close to Keswick’s restaurants and shops. Full marks.

We found out stay to be comfortable and pleasant with very friendly hosts. The bed was very comfortable and the street and area was quiet enough to leave the window open at night for fresh air, as the temperatures were unusually warm for the UK. Breakfast was ample and very tasty with full English, cereal, toast, yogurt and juices available.
Would recommend to others and happily stay there again.

We stayed in this B&B last week, when we are visiting Keswick again we'll be booking the Elm tree if possible. A very warm welcome at check in from Tim who was a brilliant host. We asked to check in slightly earlier than the normal time and it was not an issue. The room was clean and tidy, nicely decorated shower room. Breakfast was tasty and filling, nice to know it had been sourced locally too! All in all I can't recommend this B&B higher! Thank you Tim!

Managed to book an overnight stay at Elm tree lodge, met with warm welcome, the place is perfectly situated,5 minutes walk to town centre, the place is immaculately clean, rooms are done out to a very high standard, the owner was very pleasant and polite and took interest in where we were from and what we liked and did, Breakfast was lovely, wish we could have stayed longer, will definitely be back, can't recommend this place enough,

Fantastic place, great location with a lovely owner who couldn't do enough at breakfast. I would highly recommend. On a side note the B+B is  fantastically decorated I would highly recommend having a good look at the art work.

Stopped here for a long weekend and found the place very clean and tidy and great correspondence with the owners regarding times and where keys will be on arrival. Beds are very comfy  and breakfast was super. So thank you Tim and Ally for a supers weekend

This is an excellent base in the heart of Keswick. Less than 5 minutes from the town center. The rooms and hotel are really great. The owners are very knowledgeable and are happy to give advice. All topped off with a great Breakfast.

Great stay,great host at Elm tree Lodge

This was our second visit to this little gem B&B in Keswick.  We had a beautiful room with en-suite shower which was spotlessly clean.  This 4-star B&B is only a short walk from the centre of Keswick.  Our host, Tim, had a wealth of knowledge re places to visit and even found a bus timetable for us.  The breakfasts are delicious and we will certainly return.  We highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Lake District.

Our Break in the Lakes

We have just arrived home from a 4 night stay in Keswick at the Elm Tree Lodge. It is a lovely place which the owner Tim keeps to a very high standard. He is very friendly and extreamly knowledgeable about everything in the local area from bars and resteraunts to walks and climbs. He also does an outstanding breakfast. We would be happy to recommend this B&B to anyone.

4 Night stay

Returned today from this B & B - firstly great location (just a stroll from the town square). Very clean, tidy and tastefully  decorated. Tim the host was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast excellent. Room - we were in the room with the separate bathroom which was no problem whatsoever. The bathroom was only a few steps from our room and robes are provided.  The bathroom is again excellent and very large shower. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going again.

Excellent stay

Stayed  for 2 nights at the Elm Tree Lodge and  I have to say what a great place it was .Our room was spotless and  contained everything you needed tea ,coffee making facilitates etc. and located close to the centre of town .
Breakfast was excellent all local produce and cooked perfectly.
Tim is a great host a really nice chap with some fascinating stories of his treks up Everest.
To sum up this is a great B&B that is spotless and well run by a great host,  I would highly recommend staying you will not be disappointed .

Great B&B

Stayed for two nights at the Elm Tree Lodge b&b in Keswick and had a great stay. I had a comfortable room at the front of the hotel with tea and coffee making facilities etc. and had two great night’s sleep. The room had a separate private bathroom across the hall and this was large and clean with a great shower. 

A tasty breakfast in the morning cooked by Tim with a good choice sitting in the large dining area at the front of the b&b.

From the b&b it is a very short walk to the centre and the lake and the location makes for a great base for exploring the surrounding area.
There are some great furnishings and features in the b&b which make for a comfortable stay.

Tim is a great host and I chatted to him on arrival and throughout the stay and made it like a home from home. Have a look at the Everest expedition certificates in the hall too.  

Would definitely look to book here first if staying in Keswick.
