We enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Inverness. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The young man that checked us in was very nice. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown shops and food.  There is no lift so you do have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs to the room.

Great stay in Inverness

The best reviews about our accommodation at Tay Villa.  The room has a fridge, microwave, utensils for eating....it was nice to find bottles of water in the fridge, there is tea, coffee, sugar...10 minutes to the city center......I highly recommend!!!

Brilliant BnB in Inverness, only a 10 minute walk from the city centre with decent car parking on the streets.

I stopped here for a day while doing the North Coast 500, the Host was absolutely lovely and had some brilliant stories too tell about other travellers.

Great location for exploring the city centre and very well equipped and clean room. We received a warm and welcome from the owner., who also provided useful information on local attractions and places to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended

A pleasant surprise

Booked a Last minute break away.  Tay Villa B & B was excellent host Liam made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived.  Room had everything we needed and breakfast was great value for money.  Will definitely return.

Weekend break

Tay villa is placed in a quiet zone of Inverness. I slept here for only one night, but i can say that the room was really clean even if it is really small. I love it. The owner was so polite and he left in our room some good things for breakfast. Highly recommended!

A very good accomodation

We've stayed 3 nights at Tay Villa in Inverness. 
It has a good location, close enough to the center of the city for anyone to go there on foot and at the same time far enough to stay away from the traffic and noise from the crowds. 
On the other side, we could hear everything on the other rooms. The house was full of instructions on the wall saying basically for girls with dyed hair not to use their white linen towels or they will have to pay for the damage (there were no linen towels). We could not take food into the house because the smell would spread, they said.


Average stay

We were visiting  Inverness and on a day tour to Isle of Skye. We were due to stay at Tay Villa on our return. After, we found out that our tour was to return to Inverness  a little  later than expected,  as a courtesy we rang to advise them  that we would be a little late checking in - like 15 minutes  late.  The owner advised that reception  would  be closed on our arrival, and if we were a minute after 8 pm, we would not be let in. We were horrified that they would not admit us and would not wait  15 minutes for us! To leave travellers  stranded,  thousands of miles from home, with no where to sleep is disgusting and inexcusable. I understand  that rules  are rules, but to not wait 15 minutes??? Not only did they advise us we had lost our room, but they did not refund any of the money. It was a very busy weekend  in Inverness  and we struggled to find a room for  the night. These people did not give a toss that we may have had to sleep on the streets. I dont understand  how someone could be so uncaring. Why do people like this work in hospitality? Would definitely  not recommend staying here, they do not care at all.

Left us stranded

They are fantastic hosts and so helpful! I felt so at home and looked after staying here and would definitely stay here again! I like the location and walk into town. It suited my needs perfectly! Thank you!

Home away from home!

We booked one night in triple room. As a stop over for the airport. We were able to get a parking space right out side. We arrived 20 mins early than the 4pm check in, but this was no problem we were shown to our room. Lovely triple room 3 single beds perfect for us single girls. Tea and coffee available in the room. Lovely towel sculpture on each of the beds. Rooms were clean and the bedding and towels brilliant white and clean.  Ideal location for the town. Fred gave us spot on directions for walking there. Only 10-15 mins stroll across the river. 
Missed having a breakfast before we left but knew this was a room only booking.  Bathroom was clean and had essential soap, shower gel and shampoo. 
Black Isle bar Lovely bar in town perfect for stone baked pizza  and craft beer.
