If we could have stayed here the entire 10 days of our trip- we would have been in heaven!
Michelle and Brian are the perfect hosts! Before we arrived Michelle answered questions and gave wonderful recommendations. The room was beautiful and immaculate. The bed was amazingly comfortable! The bathroom clean, roomy and well equipped. The shower was divine!  Breakfast was delicious-so many choices! Michelle and Brian recommended a walk along the river and to cross onto the little islands. We went after dinner and it was beautiful! Everything about our stay was perfect! We can't wait to return for another stay!

Our Favorite B & B in our travels around Scotland!

This was a repeat stay at Lynver and it was as lovely as my first, and I hope to be able to return every year. The location is quiet and peaceful, but an easy walk into town.  Rooms are comfortable, quiet, thoughtfully appointed, luxurious yet understated (no kitsch).  Hosts Brian and Michelle are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and approachable, but they never hover.  Breakfast is delicious and Michelle's porridge is a real treat.  Lynver is a lovely, restful retreat in Inverness.

Everything you need, nothing you don't

We stayed for two nights after walking the Great Glen way and will certainly stay again if we're back in Inverness. Very good size room, comfortable bed, very helpful hosts, great breakfast and within easy walking distance of the end of our walk and the railway station. Good places to eat nearby. And, perhaps best of all, a wee dram in the room.

This was one of our favorite places to stay in our three week travels, staying in a new place every 2 days. Staff/owners were the best, room well stocked and comfortable, nice touches, great location.

Wonderful

We had a good time at Lynver Guest House. The room was big and nicely furnished (the bed really grand),  the bathroom new and well constructed, the breakfast absolutely excellent. Michelle did everything to make us feel comfortable. Thank you very much. 

Great accomodation in Inverness

Lovely place, pleasant and extremely competent hosts!  This is a wonderful place to stay!  The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was great.  these hosts didn't miss a chance to make the great and have me determined to return.

Stay at Lynver

Arriving at the Lynver Guest House we were greeted warmly by Michelle.  She even assisted with taking our baggage to the 2nd floor guest room.  The room was lovely with nice amenities including a small decanter of scotch for a wee dram before bed.  We had a very early departure and Michelle provided us with a light breakfast of fresh fruit and cheese croissants and fudge.  All delicious!  I highly recommend the Lynver Guest House.  I found the property in Rick Steve's Great Britain book.  It was the best property we stayed in during our visit to Scotland.  Too bad we only got to enjoy it for one night!

 Great location; within walking distance to several restaurants and town. We stayed in the  big room upstairs, not sure what the room number was. Very comfortable room. Excellent bed. Great shower. Great breakfast.Very personable, helpful hosts. Five stars. 


Highly recommended

In the UK, it isn't uncommon to get showers with less pressure than someone spitting on your hair. This B&B has fantastic water pressure which allows for a fast shower! I was very pleased that they provide vegetarian meats for breakfast, which was delicious! The place is very clean and Michelle was really nice. I have an allergy to fragrances that aren't derived from nature so the bedding was an issue for me as it was washed in a strong scented detergent/fabric softener. I bring a silk sleep sack with me so slept on the floor in that, therefore I can't let you know if the bed is comfortable or not. 
They are located within a very short distance to the town shops.

Wonderful host, clean room, great water pressure!

We wanted somewhere to stay in Inverness before flying back south. Lynver house is run by a great local couple, the location is 10 mins walk into Inverness and the accommodation is spotlessly clean. Great size room with en suite and a breakfast that kept us going all day with many choices. The parking was also a bonus. Would definitely use again and puts some hotels to shame.
