Just returned from a few nights at By the Brae. We don’t usually stay in Bed and Breakfasts, but we liked the reviews of this place and felt the price was reasonable. The room was absolutely spotless, the shower hot and powerful, cosy rooms, luxurious bedding, towels and lots of little extras. Richard and Jenny really understand attention to detail and deliver a 5 star experience. Our room was “freshened up” while we were out and I noticed little things which had been done. So impressed and grateful for this. Lots to choose for breakfast and everything cooked and prepared perfectly using quality ingredients. Would recommend to anyone visiting Inverness and we will definitely stay again! We enjoyed our scenic drive home (recommended by the lovely hosts).

Peaceful break By the Brae

A friendly welcome by the lovely Jenny who showed us into the most immaculate, cleanest hotel we have experienced. Fabulous room, wonderful comfy bed, everything you need, even dressing gowns!. The bathroom was equipped with lovely toiletries and the shower was superb. 
The 5 star facilities continued to the dining room for breakfast where we was greeted and served with a fantastic fresh breakfast on an immaculately laid table. 
A truly 5 star experience and definitely a LITTLE GEM!! 

Little Gem…by the Brae

Fabulous house, great location, welcoming hosts, excellent breakfast. Perfect for either exploring the beautiful area or as a starting point for the NC500. Exceptional value for money. Would definitely stay again.

Great start to our NC500 adventure

My wife and I had an AMAZING stay at By The Brae during our time in Inverness. Absolutely wonderful hosts, fantastic rooms (+ very clean), and best breakfasts we had on the trip. Intimate setting with only a few rooms so definitely look no further and book early if you can. Great location which felt like a hideaway in Inverness while still easily accessible by car/taxi to the main city area & Inverness attractions. We will be telling all our family and friends to book By The Brae during any Inverness trip! Can't wait to come back. 

Perfect Highlands Getaway in Heart of Inverness

My husband and I stayed 2 nights and it was the perfect stop before driving the NC 500. The breakfast was delicious, the room was spotless and very comfortable! It was also conveniently located in a quiet location but close enough to the city center.

We had wonderful 2 nights stay with family, the rooms are immaculate with comfortable and warm beds, the breakfast is delicious. We couldn’t ask more what they were provided. Definitely the best B&B in Scotland. I would like to recommend for everyone.

The best B&B in Scotland 

This was our second stay as we loved it so much the first time two year ago.  This B&B has everything and more that you would expect from a property, nothing has been overlooked.
Jenny & Richard are perfect hosts, after advising we had an early start on our last day (prior to the breakfast times) they organised a packed breakfast to take on our journey.  
Definitely one of the best B&B's you could stay in, and we've stayed in a lot.

Very comfortable. Great welcome. Breakfast excellent. This accommodation was ideally placed. We were made very welcome on arrival. Jenny and Richard were very friendly and knowledgable about the area. Altogether it was a great stay and one we would recommend to our friends.

Brilliant stay!

This B&B was the perfect find, a home away from home in a great location for exploring Inverness, Speyside and the beautiful Moray coastline. 
Richard and Jenny are perfect hosts, so accommodating and take an interest in your trips out, offering advice on how to get the best experiences in the area. They told us which routes to take, places to stop off and where to eat to suit any budget. 
The rooms where beautiful, spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional with a great choice and great quality food to set you up for your day exploring. 
A lovely find which definitely set us up for a great holiday. A fantastic area with so much to see. Beautiful scenery, lovely beaches, dolphin watching and plenty of history to immerse yourself in. 
We will definitely stay here again next time we visit ….. because we definitely need a return trip to do all the things we weren’t able to pack in to this trip 😀

Perfect B&B, with the perfect hosts,  in a perfect location!

This is a B&B of the highest order. Owners were friendly and attentive and attention to detail was apparent throughout. It is probably a tautology to say the king-size beds were massive but they are and so so comfortable. Everything was immaculately clean and presented and the bath towels larger then a low country with a sumptuous pile. Breakfast is a delight and the fayre is locally sourced and of the highest quality. I cannot laud this highly enough  - fantastic.
