Booked the lodge for a weekend break with 2 friends as a well needed get together. 

The lodge was amazing. Spotless clear. Warm and welcoming. Spacious & had everything we needed. 

We enjoyed the hot tub and also got a Chinese take out to the door which was lovely 

The reception has a shop which sells all you need. 

We loved this stay. Peaceful and relaxing 

I plan to book with my fiance soon again and enjoy it all over again , 

There is a brilliant proper country pub few mins walk over the road which is a lovely treat with the food and local ways

Amazing place

This was such a lovely weekend away we went from Friday-Monday great value for money !
the lodge is so clean we stayed in the Blythe premier lodge it had everything you needed ! Oven , kettle , microwave and all cooking appliances , fridge / freezer , also had iron , ironing board hairdryer to ! 
We met karen on reception who was lovely and friendly I will 100% be coming back here and have recommended to other friends and family  they have on site donkeys which are so cute ! I miss it already ! Hot tub was lovely to we used it as much as we could lovely beach around 15 min drive from here and lots of local pubs to ! :)

Wonderful weekend

Very nice little weekend getaway with my girlfriend for my birthday. When we arrived we was greeted by Karen at reception who was welcoming, friendly and very chatty. 

We stayed at the ‘Blyth Premier’ lodge. For a wood cabin it was everything you could ask for it was very clean, spacious and warm. The hot tub was amazing and very relaxing. 

The cabin had a small fridge, dishwasher and cooking area and provided all necessary kitchen appliances. We got a Chinese takeaway one night which gets delivered directly to your cabin door which was very nice.

I would highly recommended to anyone.

Very relaxing birthday getaway with my girlfriend

It was amazing! So worth the money! The hot tub was amazing and so warm! The whole lodge has everything you need, so clean and the bed is so comfortable! Great for a couples week away! Definitely worth it! Lots do around the area and lots of pubs to chose from!

Had the best weekend at Heathside Lodges! The lodges are great, the hot tubs was lovely, comfortable beds and clean throughout. Surrounding area is the perfect location to relax as it’s so quite and peaceful, stone throw away to great attrations and the hosts provide all information needed for your trip. We will definitely be back again 😊

Perfect place

This is our 3rd stay here and once again it was perfect. I can't belive when I see the negative reviews on here, some people just like moaning I'm sure.
Check in was easy as always and we was given lodge 20 which we have had before so it was like coming home. We had 4 wonderful restful days and will definitely be coming back.
I hate to give any negative feedback but only simple things like I've mentioned before and that is maybe some slabs from the car park to the lodges to stop the wet grass from being dragged inside and although you wouldn't think you'd need it but maybe the parking spaces marked out? I was ok but someone in a big Audi insisted on taking up more then one space meaning you could only get 7 cars instead of 8 and one evening we came back late and being the end lodge we had parked all week in the end space but this time he had parked in the end 2 spaces meaning we had to squeeze into a tiny gap that he left. Totally not the parks fault but some people need to think about others sometimes.

All in all we recommend this place very highly and am looking forward to our next holiday already. Thank you to all the staff

Fantastic stay once again

Absolutely brilliant peaceful donkeys lovely owners lovely lodge beautiful and clean couldn't get alexa working  but that was a plus on mu husband's side because he is sick of calum Scott.  The staff were lovely friendly helpful the ladies in the shop always went the extra mile.PLEASE IGNORE THE NEGAYIVE COMMENTS ABOYT YRIVIAL THINGS NO INTERNET OURS WAS FINE WE COULD MAKE AND RECEIVE CALLS YOU CANT BLAME THE OWNER IF YOUT PHONE DORSNT GET SIGNAL.  WE HAD A FIRESTICK NO PROBLEM WE DID GET CHUCKED OUT FEW TIMES BUT YOUR TV AY HOME GOES ON STANDBY WHEN ITS BEEN UNUSED AND A FIRESTICK EVEN THOUGH IT IS PLAYING YOUR TV DOESNT ALWAYS ACKNOWLEDGE IT.  OUR FRIDGE DIDNT HAVE A SHELF IN THE DOOR SO WHAT WE STOOD THE .ILK UP I. THE BOTTOM OF THE FRIDGE OTHER STUFF FRUIT AND PROSECCO ON THE SHELVES NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.  IVE ME TIONED THE A OVE POINTS BE AUSE DOMEONE STOPPKNG HERE HAS ATED THE PLACE AND THERE IS NOTHING TO SLATE
WE HAVE BOOKED FOR NEXT YEAR IT IS MY HUSBANDS 60TH BIRTHDAY IN SAME LODGE


ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT 

So I've read quite a few of the reviews on here and I've also read the reviews over on the official Hoseasons site.
There does appear to be an embargo on poor reviews over at Hoseasons.
 
Firstly let me say that we had a lovely weekend. The site itself is very well maintained and the location from which to base yourself at for trips out is ideal.

The issue we had was the expectation levels of our lodge. Which at Hoseasons is described as luxurious. 
It really isn't. As someone who has stayed at Lodges throughout the UK over the last 10 years, the lodge we had was way from that.

The list of issues we encountered range from mildly irritating to downright inconvenient. I have provided photos with this review.
So in no particular order:

The sofa. This was a tired and sorry affair. Tatty and wholly uncomfortable.

The floor. The laminate was literally lifting itself every morning so the daily ritual became one of stamping it down before a bare foot meets a lifted corner.

The TV. Is way too small for a lodge of that size. It can only have been 24-28" and for a luxury get away I would have expected something much more in keeping at the very least, with what common folk have in their own non luxurious homes. I googled a 32" TV and you can buy a new one for £100. 

Not that the TV was used that much because the wifi was absolutely awful.
Neither my partner or I had any phone reception (two different providers and not the fault of the lodge) but we couldn't even WhatsApp call people half the time because you were constantly being asked to reconnect. We took a Firestick so we could chill and watch some films. Forget it. Every 10 minutes the spinning wheel of doom. Reconnect. 5 seconds play. 5 seconds buffering. We gave up. It recommends that you reboot the router. But you can't. You are warned not to touch anything in the 'control room'. I could have traipsed my way to the lodge to ask about rectifying the issue, but I suspect it would have been something that they couldn't have done much about locally, and did I really want to do that at 9 o'clock in the evening when I'm trying to relax?

The fridge had no compartments in the door. Holes for them, but no shelves. So no place to put milk, wine, sauces. We were warned about this on arrival and as I understand it, they have a number of fridges on the site that have the same issue. They are being messed around by a supplier who is supposed to be sending replacements. However this has been ongoing for months apparently. So sort it. Buy new fridges if you have to. Luxurious ones.

The Hot Tub. We used this every day. It was nice and warm. Small. But there was only two of us so more than adequate. It was however tatty. Cracks and missing laminate and a broken head pad, and annoyingly, in full view of the lodge next door. Sure it was privacy screened on two sides, but the lodge to our right could see us clearly. So we had to use the cover as a make shift screen. 

The decking is also tatty. It needs a paint or a varnish or something to just spruce it up a bit. The outside furniture was also tired, not to mention uncomfortable. 

In isolation, these things might be considered petty or inconsequential, but together they go towards detracting somewhat from the experience and expectation that the patron has when booking a not particularly cheap, luxurious mini break.

The staff were amicable. I have seen elsewhere on here of other people having issues with them. I didn't personally, but I could perhaps see hints of abrasiveness within, judging by my short interactions with them. I get that they may be defensive of criticism (backed up by some of their responses on these reviews), and it may be tough to hear. But it's also constructive. So if you are reading this, just take it on board. No-one is saying that you're the devil incarnate. And the customer is not always right.

But the customer is always the customer.

I have always been of the opinion that life is what you make of it, and we had a great weekend. But honest feedback also plays a vital part in helping others manage expectations for their trip.

A little TLC. A substantial improvement on the Wifi. You've got yourself lovely site that can justifiably describe itself as something approaching luxury.

PS. I didn't mind the donkeys.

What a lovely trip away with the family. 
The lodges are beautiful and the extra little touches made it even more special. We will definitely be booking again. The hottub was the star of the show. 5 stars 🌟 

Wonderful little retreat

We stayed here during the Latitude festival, which we were attending. What a treat it was to come back to such a calm, clean, well equipped lodge at the end of each day. The owners are so helpful and friendly - nothing is too much trouble. I would thoroughly recommend this site. Before I left, I had a quick scout round the rest of the site: camping, pods and huts. They all look just as well maintained as the lodges are. We will definitely return - who wouldn’t???
