Absolutely loved it! Stayed for 2 nights with our small dog mid February with absolutely no complaints. We stayed in lodge 4, it was clean, tidy and extremely warm. The boiler which was tucked away nicely in the bathroom looked relatively new and was easy to use. With plenty of radiators dotted about it was a cozy stay in a very chilly month. The lodges are self contained with a living room, kitchen area, separate bathroom complete with shower, 2 bedrooms, one twin, one double. All rooms are fully equipped including a TV in the living room, all that’s needed are personal belongings.
We did not dine at the hotel but did make use of the pleasantly heated swimming pool. We found a dog friendly pub/restaurant approximately 2 miles away (a pleasant walk) and the town is a short drive away with plenty of local shops, restaurants and takeaways. We found the local butchers delightful for breakfast and packed lunch ingredients! 
A truly fab stay, we are already planning our return. A really great find.

A Cozy Lodge Stay

We have stayed here 4 times now and we absolutely love this place.
The staff are lovely and attentive. The food is good. The hotel itself is magnificent and retains alot of character and charm.
The pool was very clean and welcoming.
Like all old buildings it has a few flaws but that just adds to the charm of the place.
We are already planning our next stay.

Peaceful and relaxing

Very nice place, great swimming pool,friendly staff, clean bedroom, very nice afternoon tea, nice big shower, would go again, lovely old fashioned building lots of character, plenty of parking, we went on a groupon deal realy good value for money

We stayed in lodge on a last minute getaway groupon we arrived to bottle of Prosecco  clean towels bedding showergel shampoo washing up liquid bin bags dish cloths milk tea coffee milk  3 bedroom lodge 2 bathrooms bath shower warm clean cosy peaceful location lovely walk down too grange over sands promenade the staff in hotel were lovely pool area hot clean towels provided again  we had pool too ourselves water lovely warm we were amazed as so cheap £149 2 nights cheap n cheerful for 5 of us can’t complain will return again , yes hotel is dated but we stayed in the lodges and worth every penny and more with the service and supplies we got , the other guy who wrote an essay on negative feedback needs to get a life what does he expect on voucher deal cheap & cheerful Fambo time You do get what you pay for £14.90 PP per night I thought voucher deal was worth every penny , if we were not going to Lapland again this Christmas we would of booked here again for Christmas time just the place to switch off and chill x

Lodge stay 

We stayed here in may and I wrote a 1 review on the “Cottage” which I stand by, however I must say after the complementary lodge stay we have just had, it was really really nice ! Clean, quite, and cosy, we couldn’t eat in the hotel restaurant as it was not open for evening dinners ?, strange, the hotel pool is very well kept and enjoyable. The views from our lodge were quite breathtaking ! I would recommend a stay in Lodge 3 for a short break. Been very close to the sea, it’s great for doggies ! Shame we didn’t have ours with us. Thank you Andrew for addressing our previous issues.

Lodge 3 - second visit

Lovely clean modern room and bathroom, friendly service on arrival . Great indoor pool which was not busy, had it too ourselves. Lovely gardens . We would definitely stay here again . Nice walks nearby .

Weekend

just come back from an overnight stay was very pleasant the rooms was clean and the young lad on reception was very welcoming even though our train was delayed nothing was to much, enjoyed the afternoon tea and the cakes was delicious, lovely view from our room wish could have stayed longer and seen more of the area

Overnight stay

We purchased a 2 night bed & breakfast / 1 night dinner offer via Groupon and for the price we paid we couldn’t be happier. 

Dealing with the hotel when booking was very pleasant and checking in at the hotel was no different. All the staff we met were lovely, especially the young lady with the long dark hair in the dining room who served us. She was excellent with all the guests and a real credit to the hotel. 

Our room was so spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was very good quality and filling - both evening meal and breakfast (buffet style hot food, toast, cereals etc - everything you could want really) 

We used the swimming pool and found it to be clean and a good size. Bonus for us that there was a toddler pool too as we had our one year old son with us.  The grounds are well kept so lots of space to play including a playground area. Car park was a good size too. There was a cafe onsite, by reception.

The area itself has a few shops and cafes. Hotel is close to the rail station and access to the promenade and maybe 5 minutes in the car from the shopping area. Plenty of cafes & small shops there as well as a Spar, Co Op and Tesco express

While visiting the area we travelled to South Lakes Safari Zoo and a Maize Farm/soft play. If you are visiting as a family I can highly recommend these places. 

We didn’t see much in the way of restaurants/evening dining in Grange, besides the hotel, maybe we didn’t look in the right places but we found a fantastic Chinese take away next to the post office and considering we were shattered from a busy day and didn’t really want to keep our son out too late, this was perfect for us. 

My overall impression of this hotel was clean, comfortable, unobtrusive and a great place to relax or use as a base to explore the area. We would certainly return in the future, especially if the Groupon deal continues. it was the most peaceful, enjoyable, stress free days we have had for a while.

Perfect break

Just fancied a night away and like the lake district so when we saw this deal on Groupon decided to book, didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised.
Clean, and what looked like newly renovated rooms with toiletries and hair dryer in drawer.
Close to windermere and lakeland motor museum.
Lovely 3 course evening meal and wine at reasonable prices. 
Don't normally sleep well in new places, but had a good night's sleep followed by a lovely breakfast 
Would return

Excellent Groupon deal

I took my mother here for a night for her birthday.  We stayed one night and had dinner and breakfast the following morning. The food was excellent as was the service.  The hotel is quaint and charming. Our room was ver big (room15) super king size bed and a single. Tea and coffee was plentiful in the room. Bathroom was super clean and modern with a good quality shower over bath, nice towels and toiletries.
In summary I would highly recommend this hotel.
