Generally up to Premier Inn standards but this site needs better management as there were a number of minor issues and possibly to be closed for a refit. None the less it served its purpose for us as a stopover on a trip "up north"

Curate's egg - good in parts.

Modern large and clean room, nice and quiet at night, good value for the price. However breakfast (done by the Beefeater next door) a little disappointing - no fresh juice and a reluctance to invest in new effective toasters. Be aware this hotel has zero phone reception for Three network. Also don't be taken in by the free wifi - the free option is terribly slow.

Good basic accommodation

We were delighted by the very helpful and friendly  staff at both the Inn and neighbouring Beefeater. It was the friendliest  place we have stayed in.
The receptionists were particularly helpful sorting out the WiFi on my phone. It couldn't have been a more pleasant stay. Thank you.

Best Premier Inn experience.

Stayed here for a night last week. I was given a room in the original building. Unfortunately no phone reception or WiFi and the tv hardly had any channels on it and I was unable to retune. Room was dated but was clean enough. Nice quiet area during the night and restaurant was ok next door.

No WiFi/Phone Reception

My initial experience got off to a positive start by front of house / receptionist Megan who answered all my concerns and put me in a good mood. Later on Megan went the extra mile by fixing my unusual situation. Also the cleaning staff were very helpful and friendly and Jade was a good example of that ,couldn’t wait to help me. To be honest all the staff are very friendly and helpful, reminding me of the 5 star hotels I used to stay in my previous business days,that good in fact. The only negative is the need to retune the free view TVs as channels are limited and I did tell the maintenance guy last time I stayed here. Overall the staff were really very good!

Customer service the best it can be and two examples are Megan the receptionist and Jade the super helpful cleaner!

Rooms are great and the receptionist could not do enough to help so a big thanks to jenny t shes always polite and friendly and goes out of her way to help guests. The hotel is one of the cleanest premier inns I have stayed in the staff do a great job.

Excellent

I know it was a very hot weekend, as states no air con. But the heat in the room was 30.5 degrees 😩 no sooner you had a shower you were wet through with sweat. Window only opened 3inchs, when you walked into the room the heat took your breath away. We ended up leaving the day before we were due to leave.  
The 5 hour journey home was better than a sleepless night in a sweat box. Loads of people were complaining about the heat. This is one place I won't go again. We had a gang in the room to circulate the hot air.

Too hot Daren't move.

I was pleased that it appeared my previous feedback had been taken on board, my room was better than before, the food and service were better, the quality of the products at breakfast was also more like i expected as a frequent premier inn visitor.
I would rate it as good rather than average, but that is not an option.

An improvement for sure

well, we arrived here for bank holiday weekend for 3 nights staff were great on arrival said we're in room 1 .. 
room is fine quite small and the bathroom very small , it's great if you like spiders and spider webs and things that are falling off the wall , worse thing is the noise , we came here for a relaxing weekend after the cayos of work for a wind down , but the position of the room is a nightmare , it's just to
the left of the front door .. from approximately 5am your awake with noise of people in and out .. your window is next to the carpark also , one of mornings we had a woman shouting in reception " hello is there anyone there" that morning we were
out of the room to the the pub across the carpark for breakfast.. to summarise up
if it was a different room it might of been better but it certainly needs some tlc .. gutted it Spoiled the weekend .. and if you go for breakfast past 9am you will
spend the time asking for things for breakfast as they run out and don't top up
