Wow where do I start apart from saying we will always remember our “family”.

Arrived at reception smelly, tired, extremely upset having spent 17 hours trapped upstairs in the dark and extreme cold with no gas and electric, no food or drink due to a metre of flood water sitting in our home, having been eventually rescued mid morning with our hastily packed belongings.

All we needed was something to eat, drink and a hot shower clean clothes and bed. Never check in early but reception went way above and beyond to find us a room that was ready.

Room was a bit small and couldn’t open window and following day this wonderful reception team moved us to a larger room where windows opened and we stayed in same room for 5 weeks which was so convenient and above and beyond helpful for all the paraphernalia we amassed during these weeks.

They saw all the mood swings, tantrums and tears and nothing was ever too much trouble for this fantastic team - it was teamwork at the very best. Room housekeeping team just as lovely, accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble even cancelling the over zealous parking tickets we keep acquiring as due to oversight on our part we hadn’t realised every time our stay was extended we had to re-enter our reg number.

The Cookhouse pub next door made us equally welcome and the food was reasonably priced and well presented, same with the breakfasts which offered plenty of choice and decent sausages! Though after first week the novelty wore off and fruit and yoghurt became the choice.

We will never forget the human kindness that was shown to us for the whole 5 weeks, the courteousness and the above and beyond teamwork at its finest in what became known among others in same position as ourselves as “the flood refugee hotel”.

You made us feel as comfortable and at home as possible under extremely difficult circumstances and we thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts.

TEAMWORK AT ITS FINEST

We were travelling to York and wanted a hotel mid way to break up the journey. We didn’t arrive until 10pm as we set off late. The man in reception was very friendly and helpful. Our room was as expected. Unfortunately the bar was closed when we arrived. Handy to have a Sainsbury’s and McDonald’s on site. The Sainsbury’s has a petrol station too. 
Breakfast was fine and had the  usual offerings. The restaurant was clean and plenty of tables the bacon and sausages weren’t as nice as we’ve had at other premier inns 

Prefect stop over

Very good, managed to get a room for 47 pounds, which I'll pay no problem,  depends on when you want to stay can be upto 115 sometimes.  Excellent bed, clean, comfortable,  decent location,  free parking, short trip into town. Pleasant staff. Only downfall fall was the rather expensive and rip off vending machine in reception.

Stayed over the festive period and although it seemed busy the staff were still happy and attentive. Very comfortable room and everything we needed during our stay. Will be back again!

Felt safe and satisfied 

The hotel was situated close to the town and for visiting local areas of interest. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The adjacent Butterly Park Cookhouse and Pub was again spacious and the food on offer was varied and well presented. The staff were friendly, hardworking and efficient.

Good location

We stayed at Ripley after visiting family nearby.
We had a friendly check in 6.30 ish. Reception offered some complimentary haribo sweet bags to our kids which they were thrilled with! We dropped our bags into room quickly then went to eat in the restaurant on site. As a family of four travelling with our 4 & 9 yr old we found the kids meal deal which included a dessert and drink good value. There was an offer Monday-Fri until 6pm for 2 adult mains but we had just missed this offer. We picked 2 meals from the main menu which were around the £10 park which wasn’t too bad. We also bought some drinks and a dessert. 
The only letdown was the service in the restaurant, no fault of the staff. The staff who attended to us were ever so friendly and approachable. They just seemed short staffed, we had to go and find someone twice when we wanted to order more drinks. We were happy to wait at bar but it was table service only. I have to say though the restaurant did seem busy and staff were working really hard, maybe a few more staff would’ve helped. 
Our room was spacious for 4 with a double bed and 2 singles. We have stayed in previous family rooms with beds squeezed up against each other. Plenty of tea and coffee, milk sachet and more avaliable in reception which I thought was a nice touch. Save you having to find a staff member, asking for more! The Bathroom had everything we needed, plenty of shower gel shampoo in dispensers should we need. 
Bath which is always a plus, rather than just a shower. 
We had a comfortable nights sleep and it was quiet in our ground floor room. 
We booked in for breakfast, kids eating free which was great. 
Plenty of variety and you could eat as much as you want. Felt sorry as staff running about busy and obviously short staffed again for the amount of people dining.
We checked out shortly after and the reception staff, different to the previous evening so friendly, helpful  and interested in us and our stay.
Best premier inn we’ve stayed at, would book here again if in area. You need to help your staff out in restaurant though they are working so hard but need some more help to keep up the good work.

Hotel was clean and warm. Staff friendly and attentive. Food at attached pub was fine. Location was great for us to tour Derbyshire. Plenty of free car parking on site. WIFI was ok but needed to upgrade to Ultimate because we were using 3 devices which made WIFI slow at times. All things said we will return to Premier Inn Ripley.

Short stay

Wow what a welcome. Reception greeting fab. Spoke to my children too asking about Santa and sweets offered. Our room was a family room. Good size, clean, comfy beds. Good sized car park. Breakfast served in pub next door was lovely too

Christmas break

Was one of the best premier inns I have visited. Sainsbury and McDonald’s next to the hotel with a pub next door too. Staff were great and made our visit pleasant big shout out to Teresa and the other staff. Will come again

Amazing premier inn

Was welcomed amazingly by Teresa who made sure everything was up to standard with our stay the whole time. Nice comfy rooms and everything was as it should be with the stay. The rest of the staff was also great our stay and would definitely come again!
