Clean comfy bed, hot power shower was fab. Incredible price.
Good location, just off the Royal Mile. Walking distance to everything.
Wouldn't recommend the breakfast. Em's kitchen across the road does a lovely breakfast. 
Car parking was £17.50 per day for residents, which is good for Edinburgh, although you can't pre-book, so get there early.
My go-to hotel in Edinburgh.

Great location, great price

Overall very good. The location is great for all the tourists things food and drink, most things our from a 2 minutes to 20 minutes walk. The room was clean and had modern feel to it, the bed was very comfortable and clean. I had a Lavazza coffee machine but was disappointed when the pods were not Lavazza but an unbranded pod which tasted bitter, so I didn't use it again and stuck to tea. The mugs in the room where never changed or cleaned which means I had to wash them in the sink and dry it on the bath towel. The bathroom was a let down as it has not been updated and had a very cheap door and handle, but on the other side the water temperature and pressure was amazing. The breakfast was hit and miss, each day at breakfast items where missing and I had to constantly ask someone for items and at one point had no bread for the toaster, no mugs for a coffee and no glasses for juice and had ask someone for this items, on the last morning they had ran out of fruit and had none left for that day. So overall the hotel was very good in a great location, I would recommend having breakfast else where, there is plenty of breakfast locations in a 5 minute walk.

Very good rooms and location, breakfast a let down. 

Pros:
-location is fantastic
-price!!!
-bath towels are thick and really good size
-bed super comfy
-shower pressure was brilliant

Cons:
-shower curtain stunk of wet dog/urine
-dust on every surface, skirting board and in the bath and sink
-1 tea bag!!
-carpet had bits all over it
-not enough sockets in the room, should be at least one by the bed
-two girls on reception not very friendly, no hello or thanks, just a bit awkward really.


Ok for the price

My friend and I stayed for one night, this time! Rooms were very modern, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The views from our rooms overlooked Waverly train station area and Princes Street gardens and all the old buildings on the hill. Beautiful new looking en suite. The hotel is immaculate, well maintained, very clean. The location is absolutely perfect, a one minute walk to train station and all the amenities. Staff were super attentive and always available. We will definitely stay here again, our rooms were £24 a night... fantastic value

An absolute gem

I know I am talking about a Travelodge at the heart of a big Centre, but it was the worst one I have ever stayed. Poor cleaning, ridiculous breakfast in a box, lack of soap in the toilet. It was a pity

Stayed again for 2 nights at this hotel. It's in such great location and our room had a terrific view over the old town and beyond. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We would stay here again, no problem. Highly recommended.

Another great stay!

Stayed for 2 nights, brilliant location, room facing Princess street so excellent views. Covid restrictions meant no room cleaning but were provided with fresh towels, tea &  coffee as required. Staff very helpful and friendly, will definitely be back.

This Travelodge is brilliant it’s on princess street the staff are so nice and so friendly nothing is a bother to them. I would recommend this Travelodge. We were overlooking Waverley station and the Balmoral hotel brilliant view. 5*****

Brilliant

Hotel lovely and clean.  Very central literally     across the road from waverley train station.  Staff amazing in particular Gary and the lady with black hair - really cant do enough for you!!! Thank you guys!!! 🙂⭐🙂

Brilliant!

Spacious but basic room, very small bathroom, no drawers or cupboards.  Had room 214 which was quite noisy & overlooked from the McDonalds across the road, walls are paper thin & could hear what appeared to be running water all through the night.  Great location though straight across from station.  Staff very helpful
