We stayed here for 5 days and loved the whole experience. David was so friendly and helpful and the breakfasts he provided were amazing! We would definitely recommend this place to you all and will be returning. Rooms were very clean, extremely comfortable and we have no negative comments. Thank you!

I made a flying visit to the IoW, and looking for somewhere to stay close to Queen Victoria's Osborne House but within walking distance of Cowes this seemed like the perfect location. Owners David and Marde are lovely people, and they had fully prepared themselves to welcome guests in a new socially distanced version of Crossways House.

The B+B is very interesting and quaint, I was staying in the main house so can't comment on the four lodge rooms a few metres from the house but the garden between the two parts of the property was very nice. Breakfast in the morning was very nice, David cooks and has a wide offering available including full english/pancakes/fruits/cereal/porridge. The social distancing measures did make the experience slightly weird, with less people visiting I only saw one other guest during my time there, but David and Marde still made sure I had a nice time and were happy to help with any requests.

They also have an adorable golden retriever called Sunny who loves the lounge in the garden and in the hallway which was a nice surprise. If I'm ever heading back to the island I'll probably check in to see if there's a room available.

Well what a find ! We spent 3 nights during early September 2019. The house is amazing, no nasty extensions or tasteless decorating ... The second you walk through the door you are made welcome by David the host. David showed us the way to room 2 the room is large and very comfortable with the largest period wardrobe i have ever seen. The four poster bed was extremely comfortable also the heating in the room was easily controllable and efficient.Breakfast is a cut above the rest with a good choice ... the full English is a must made with quality ingredients and presented on crockery that goes well with the period of the house. The blueberry pancakes are also amazing please try them !.The host has collected many fine pieces of furniture well suited to the house. Osborne house is a few yards away and only one mile away from the ferry terminal. Plenty of onsite parking is available only a few steps from the front door. Great place !

-Lovely little B&B about a 15-20 minute walk from red funnel ferry and Cowes chain ferry and less than 5 minute walk to Osborne House. 
- We stayed in a lodge room for 2 nights as it was my birthday and we were given a box of chocolates and flowers on arrival as my partner told them it was my birthday beforehand, lovely touch! 
- room was quite small but cosy which we really liked and bathroom was great, with a nice powerful shower, shampoo, soap and a hair dryer were provided in room. 
- David and Maude were great hosts and made us feel very welcome from the start as did Sophie the cat who was super friendly! 
- Breakfast was INCREDIBLE, probably on of the best full English breakfasts we have ever had.

Overall this B&B is really good and I would recommend staying here if you are looking to stay in this area.

We had a wonderful one night stay, lovely big room, huge bed and great shower. Fantastic breakfast too. David, the host, was very welcoming and the location is great, just minutes from the ferry. The home made cookies were a lovely touch. Would definitely stay there again.

Three of us chose it because of it's proximity to Osborne House and a good bus service.  It is a late Victorian character property full of charm.  A warm and welcoming host.

We had two rooms in the Lodge Annex.  They were small but spotlessly clean and fully equipped including home made biscuits.

The breakfast was probably the best we have had anywhere.

Just two small negatives.  The Lodge is close to a busy road and suffer with traffic noise.  Go for a room in the main house if this may worry you.  Also the shower controls were so high that a vertically challenged member struggled to use them.

To summarise we will definitely stay there if we visit the Isle of Wight again.

Our first night of four was spent in Room 2 in the Lodge, which is rather small, with a window onto the nearby road, which was noisy from about 6 a.m. onwards, despite a double-glazed window. David readily agreed to move us to another room but it would be £20 a night more expensive as we'd booked a cheaper room. We moved to room 2 in the house, which is delightfully large and comfortable, with a four-poster bed (posts only, no canopy). Breakfasts are excellent with plenty of choice, notably the pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup. Our dog was welcomed, especially by the owners' golden retriever.

Brilliant. 6 of us stayed for a brief family visit.  Beautiful property with bags of character. Comfortable, quirky, well decorated. V comfortable beds, excellent breakfast with extra personal touches such as home baked muffins. Hosts very helpful

An absolute gem of a B&B, two minutes from the ferry terminal and 5 minute walk up the drive to Osborne house.  Hosts were lovely and very accommodating.  Breakfast was amazing, could not have asked for more.  Room in the annex was small (and a little noisy from the road) but clean and had everything needed for a short stay.  Will definitely be back next time I'm on the island.

stayed here with family whilst attending a funeral on the island. Rooms were comfortable and clean with nice views over the garden. Breakfast was very good and hosts were very helpful and welcoming. A good location for visiting Osbourne House and nearby beaches.
