Stayed recently for a trip and would recommend to anyone! Very clean hotel and excellent staff, both Heather and Graham at reception were friendly and helpful with some local information on travelling around the area. Great choice if looking for somewhere to stay in this area!

We originally made a Flexi booking with the intention of watching our home rugby team play against Dundee.  However our circumstances changed and fortunately we were able to re-schedule (twice) over a lengthy period of time, with adjustments made to refund/increase the price accordingly.  That price varied from £71 on initially booking to ultimately £65 at the time we visited.  The process online to re-book was straightforward so this was a positive aspect of the flexi arrangements.

In the end we used our overnight stay to see a concert at the Caird Hall, visited the V&A Dundee and Scott of the Antarctic’s “RSS Discovery” all of which were enjoyable.

There are four Premier Inns in the Dundee area.  We had to weigh up the benefits and availability of each and compromised in terms of convenience by opting for Dundee East, located in the quieter outskirts of the city at Broughty Ferry.  It has free car parking and is approximately 6 miles or 15-20 minutes drive to the city centre. 
 
On arrival we were able to use a courtesy phone at reception to book a taxi to take us to the Caird Hall later that evening and this cost just under £14 each way. During the visit we also used our car in the city centre and Council parking was around £5.60 for 3 hours on each occasion (May 2023).

There is a Greene King pub on the site which links in with Premier Inn to provide meals.  We used it for food and drinks pre and post concert and found it to be good.  There are other options nearby.

Our room (#31) was clean and quiet.  The double bed was comfortable, we had a single armchair, a desk and chair, open storage space, tea & coffee facilities and a wall mounted TV with Freeview channels.  The ensuite had a shower over the bath which had good water pressure however stepping in and out of the bath was “a giant leap for mankind”.  I’m not sure of the dimensions but it was quite a step in and out for some odd reason and I’m surprised my wife managed - she has had knee surgery and usually prefers a walk-in shower.   

As a budget option it worked out fine for a short stay.

Room service was 5 star , staff very friendly, no hesitation on coming back food and drinks for breakfast was lovely and meals offered at night great choice. Slept well beds very comfortable, shower good pressure and nice and hot 

Lovely stay

I recently stayed at Premier Inn and was impressed by various positive aspects. The room was impeccably designed, offering a comfortable and inviting space. Clear instructions for adjusting the heating added a thoughtful touch. The front desk staff, particularly the lady at reception, demonstrated professionalism and responsiveness. During check-out, my concern about a chilly night due to a non-functional radiator was promptly addressed.

However, there’s room for improvement. Despite the well-appointed room, the heating issue occurred, and it was suggested that someone may have adjusted the settings. To enhance guest experiences, it’s crucial for the hotel to conduct pre-arrival checks on heating settings. Exploring additional measures to prevent inadvertent adjustments and establishing a system for timely issue resolution during the stay could further elevate overall guest satisfaction. Despite this hiccup, Premier Inn’s commitment to addressing concerns and providing a comfortable stay shines through.

Beautiful room and bed but freezing cold.

We stayed here recently as we were having work done in the house. We’ve stayed in Premier Inns in other towns when we’ve had short breaks, but never in our home town, and not for a week and a half. We knew what to expect from the room and it was nice and clean and quite spacious. The staff are great - any time we spoke with them, nothing was too much trouble. They were all lovely, but one young lady called Lauren was exceptionally kind and helpful. She is an absolute star 🌟 and a credit to your company!

Such a nice friendly hotel

My wife and myself stayed for 2 nights on 24th February for 2 nights with friends to attend a family wedding.
Rooms were OK but very very cold in the bathrooms, no heating at all in there.
The one tiny heater in the bedroom seemed to take forever to heat the room, not what you want when it is freezing outside.
Beds nice and comfy as always but pillows very soft and no others available when reception was contacted.
Breakfast was in the Greene King pub next door and I must say it was far superior to the normal Whitbread offering.

OK stay but very cold.

Your usual high premier in standard. We had a double room no sexy purple light but other than that as is in the pictures. Clean tidy friendly staff. Great area woodland walk 2 mins away by the dirty burn for fresh air. Dominoes and curry house and Chinese across the road all good. Wee co op for nibbles too. Enough parking there's more over the road if needed. Safe/good area your car should be fine even if its a big german whip. Mcds 24hrs 2 min drive away 20 min wander away. 
Sleep was good window was open on arrival room was warm so turned heating off cooled to comfortable level. Nice to have fresh air in the room. You could slightly hear murmurs of noise through walls but only if it was silent and unless you were listening you wouldn't hear anything. 

Excellent as you'd expect

Exactly the type of place you’d expect for a premier inn, clean and comfortable. Nothing too fancy however the staff are the true stars of the team. They were all welcoming and friendly, and Heather was helpful in answering the hundred questions I asked her about the town. 

Great service, good sleep, lovely staff members 

I stayed here with my wife and daughter and we were greeted with a warm welcome.
The room was a family room on the bottom floor looking out to the car park.
The location is just off the dual carriageway leading to and from Dundee.
The room is quiet with not a lot of street noise which is good.
The room is average compared to some of the other premier inn’s we have stayed in, some small things could do with a little attention like the bath tap is very loose, wee bit of mould round the bath and the floor a wee bit dirty in certain areas.
Overall the room was ok for the two nights we were here and the staff were lovely when we needed them.

Average couple of nights stay.

Stayed here again while visiting family and friends for new year. Excellent accommodation, very friendly helpful reception staff, clean comfortable rooms. Bar staff were excellent during the hogmanay service.
