Nope. Terrible Choice.

Nice size of room, good and clean condition, comfortable stays. Owner is very personable, kind and informative. Breakfast is good, simple but plentiful. Enjoy our stay!

I am confused: Some things are good, Some things are bad. Bed bugs, i haven’t seen, bad vacuüm cleaning i have seen. Toilet reservoir took minutes to fill up again. Nice shower stuff, water hot/cold good, but Fungus on the kit edges is present. Also the rusted bathroom stuff i have seen: Why?Breakfast: problably a UK issue no cheese and/or ham present.

Staff very welcoming on arrival and at Breakfast. A good variety of cereal, pastries and toast for self service breakfast. The room was large and bed was comfy.Linen and fixtures are worn but it looks like the place is being renovated so hopefully this will be resolved.

Stayed here and would honestly say one of the worst places I've ever been. The room smelt like pee. It was SO dirty. Curtains were hanging off the rail. No hot water for shower but it was so dirty didn't want to use. The layers of dust all over the room, units and kettle were thick.

Imagine minus five stars, then double it.

A noisy fan heater is what kept the frostbite off, as the rusty bathroom towel rail and room radiator were unadjustable and stone cold. No towels, fixtures and fittings missing in bathroom, aside from an empty soap dispenser and a shaver connection point which didn't work. Bathroom filthy with severe mould in shower and on ceiling, pretty much non existent WiFi (which is why I'm writing this at 02.55, trying to catch a one or two bits of signal), great TV but no remote, bed mattresses creaky and knackered, headboard detached on one side (My wife's sleeping in her clothes as so cold!), room chair wobbled like a jelly on a dodgem ride, parking awkward, reception a tearoom for local youth. Had to use a pen to stir the tea as no spoon provided (clean mugs, though). Half a loo roll supplied! 

The dreamy pics on the website refer to an unavailable guest house across the road, or somewhere else anyway. After booking - non refundable, obvs - I was messaged to stay at a 'sister' establishment. As someone else has suggested, the positive reviews were probably paid fors, because no way on earth do they refer to this place.

If you're nearby and need somewhere to stay, try sleeping in the car, or under a bus, maybe in a shop doorway or in a vat of nuclear waste by a local loch. All would be preferable and cleaner. 

Skipped 'breakfast' to sneak out early and made a mental note to keep at least a 25-mile radius from Waverley Inn in future. Also to never use Booking.com again, ever, ever, as twice now I've been stung by 'what-you-see-is-not-what-you-get' property stays by greedy scamming landlords. :-(

Rebooked at a local Travelodge next morning, for much the same price, and it's fab.

Utterly woeful

Does the job. Cleanliness is majorly lacking. Cutlery was all dirty at breakfast. Crumbs on the table in bedroom. At least bed is comfy tho

If I could give less than 1 star I would.
The curtains were hanging off there was no proper wardrobe.  The bathroom was filthy and there were no towels or toiletries.. when we arrived we walked in to the reception area which seemed to double as the buffet breakfast area. The decor is tired and don't think cleanliness is a high priority.

Grime place

The Inn was in need of cleaning and updating. The mattress was uncomfortable, the breakfast, as it was, was disappointing. The toaster looked as though it had not been cleaned in weeks. I never saw a fresh pot of coffee on, just what was leftover and cold. Very seldom was there a staff person visible.

Positives:
I liked the friendliness of the staff I encountered during my stay. They were really kind and understanding with us.

Negatives:
There were no heaters in my room, and it was colder than the bloody cold, empty vacuum of space. The watter pressure was really poor and there was no hot water at all, only Lukewarm at best. The ceiling in my room was very low down during to it being slanted and I hit my head several times. There was a hole in the wall behind the door and there were exposed cables in the room, one of them in my wardrobe and the gap where the cables were showing could easily fit an infant. The chair in my room by the desk looked like I was held together by the cheap glue sticks you find in schools that don't even work on paper. The ceiling in the corridor to my room was basically falling apart and collapsing. I had a really poor night's sleep as I had to stay fully dressed, shoes and all just so I wouldn't risk getting into a hypothermic state.

Negatives:
Now onto room 37. I went for a shower as soon as I went in and found the water pressure to be poorer than someone working in McDonalds and the heat of the water was the same temperature as a cup of tea that's been left outside unattended for about an hour. There were no towels in my room, and I had to use the throw over on my bed to dry myself and not walk about like a drowned rat. It was that bad that at half 2 in the morning I was that cold that I decided to leave the hotel and go to my lorry, which was warmer than a bloody building.  I had 2 heaters in my room that didn't work at all.
