What a honeymoon,  and what a beautiful property. The owners are so lovely and always there should you need them. Special touch was engraved champagne glasses as it wasour honeymoon.

Property was clean and set up ready for us.

We have already booked for 2024 and can't wait.

I highly recommend you stay at Glendale Cottage.

Amazing Honey moon 

Fantastic relaxing break. We were made to feel very welcome. The cabin was so cozy. Everything there we needed. The use of the pool to ourselves for 1hour per day was wonderful. We used the fire pit in the evening with plenty of logs provided. It was like being in our own little forest. Loads of local walks in the area. Our dog loved the outdoor space. The cows in the field came to see us each day. The stars at night were amazing on a clear evening. The local pub about quarter of a mile away served lovely food but would recommend you pre book. Overall we loved it and would highly recommend. And can't wait to return. Thank you Julie and Philip.

Log cabin

We have just returned from a week's holiday at Glendale cottage, and what a wonderful place it is. The cottage itself is warm, welcoming and has beautiful fixtures and fittings. The surroundings and views from the cottage are breathtaking. Hiring the pool for private swimming is great and the hot tub is just the icing on the cake. The owners live on site and couldn't be more helpful. I can't recommend it enough.

Fantastic for all the family

My Family and our dog & my parents booked both cottages which are situated across from each other, Ours was a very spacious, modern but with that country feel and exceptionally clean 3 bedroomed cottage. Entry, 2 bathroom, beautiful fully fitted and kitted kitchen, very spacious but cosy joined living room dining room With absolutely everything you could imagine needing, The most perfect view, beautiful garden, with regular visitors to the gate (cows) which my youngest (7 year old) found fascinating. Fire pit and bbq and ample seating to enjoy the country air. Also WiFi an absolute must since I have teenage kids which kept all happy. 
My parents cottage was a 1 bedroomed cottage, with bathroom, fully fitted and kitted kitchen/dining room and conservatory once again beautiful and clean inside and out.
There is a private pool on site which we booked for an hour each day (extra charge) but worth every penny which again is very clean, and a very good size, we had so much fun. separate changing area with shower and toilet, there is so much to do around the cottages we only left to food shop in a week, perfect to get away and spend quality time together. 
Parking available outside cottages. 
The owners live on site, truly lovely, friendly couple, very approachable and nothing was too much trouble.Lots to do nearby if you wanted to explore and places to eat a short drive away. I could go on and on more so than I already have, but I can not recommend this place enough, beautiful find and I will 100% be going back again. Looking forward to the new addition of a hot tub (coming soon) You will not be disappointed.

Quiet Beautiful Country Retreat

We returned this evening from Glendale to London and I couldn't wait to write a review.  The cottage was just perfect for us.  A week away from London - it is ideally situated for visiting so many historic treasures.  The owners are really lovely and nothing was too much trouble.  We really needed a place to chill and somewhere we could take our small dog.  He was welcomed with open arms and the cottage had everything we could possible want for our stay.  We really had a lovely time and the weather was kind to us as well which was a real bonus for Northumberland.  Would highly recommend.

Delightful

Had a lovely weekend in this delightful cottage , everything was provided and immaculate . The owners are lovely and very helpful . A nice quiet getaway yet not far from sites and amenities . 
Would definitely return . 

Long weekend 

We stayed here for a long weekend booked through Hoseasons. 

The cottage is in a beautiful location just a 5 min drive from Haltwhistle.  It is ideally situated for walking with Vindolanda and Housteads close by.

The cottage is spacious, we were a party of 4 adults, two children and a baby, but it would be well suited to 6 adults.  The lounge is comfortable with lovely views.  There is a huge dining table which was lovely for our family lunch.  The kitchen also has a large table and range type cooker and roomy fridge.  It is well equipped and we cooked our evening meals and Sunday lunch during our stay.  There is also a washer dryer very handy for longer stays.  We were kept lovely and warm with the central heating throughout the cottage.

There is a spacious utility room which was ideal for taking off our moody boots.

The cottage has a double bedroom and two twins.  The bedrooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable.  The bathroom is situated between the bedrooms and has a powerful over bath shower.  I'm always happy when the shower is good and this one was.

The cottage has A TV and DVD and two of the bedrooms also had TVs.  The cottage has wifi. 

The garden is a good size and the boys enjoyed playing on the slide and tyre swing and watching the sheep grazing in the adjoining fields.  

The owners have a swimming pool on site and we booked an hours swim before we went (it's very popular you need to pre book). It's a good size pool and lovely and warm.  A small play area is available and our grandsons 4 and 5 loved it.  

Phil and Julie the owners are very friendly and helpful and live on site.

Haltwhistle has a couple of supermarkets and small shops.  We enjoyed a walk by the river and had brunch in Kasteale and visited Mr George's Clock Museum.  We also took the boys to Crackers soft play, the facilities are good and we had lunch which was reasonable £30 for all of us.

A great family break in a beautiful part of the world.  We hope to go back and would definitely stay at this cottage again.  

 

Beautiful location, great accommodation 

Everything was provided a home away from home. Very peaceful and in a great position.Would definitely stay again & recommend to others.Excellent for families or couples. The hosts were very accomodating .

Cottages. Com turn good.
After my initial complaint regarding the service from Cottage. Regarding my booking at the above Mews. I'm delighted to say they have honoured my booking and I have been given as good will price agreed.

Cottage Mews wonderful...

A lovely location for a family get together. Fantastic views from cottage, great wooded area with zipline for the kids to play in. On site pool had to be booked separate. The only thing that needs improvement is the accommodation could do with being a bit cleaner.
