I totally recommend this wonderful hotel.  I stayed there with my husband for 2 nights to take part in the Bath Half marathon.  The  hotel is beautiful.  Our room was lovely with a huge bed and lots of little touches to ensure we were left wanting for nothing.  Our bathroom had a wonderful slipper bath which was very welcome after the run.  The staff are SO friendly and helpful.  They brought a tray of tea and coffee and bananas to our room on race day and the breakfast we had the following day was just outstanding.  Nothing was too much trouble.  I have no doubt that we will be returning again.  Thank you so much to all the Apsley House team.  We had a fabulous stay. 

Beautiful hotel with first class service

We have just returned from a two day break at the hotel.  I fell in love the minute I entered the elegant and immaculately kept building. We were provided with plenty of information about Bath, a local map and details of pubs and restaurants.  Kate offered to make a booking or arrange a taxi if required.   We stayed in The Mornington Room and was the nicest I have ever stayed in with a very comfortable four poster bed with crisp white linen and furniture perfectly suited to such a historic place. The bathroom had soft white towels, bathrobes and Molton Brown toiletries. There were steps leading to the garden which had tables and chairs which we would have used at a different time of  year. The lounge area was beautifully decorated and had a courtesy bar.  We did not do so as I have mobility problems but it is possible to walk into the city or a pub. I really don't have words for such a lovely place and both Kate and Jeremy.  Nothing was too much trouble and I have no hesitation in recommending Apsley House.  I would not look for a different place to stay if we visit Bath again and my partner would assure you I am not easily pleased!!

Outstanding.

My fiancé and I have just returned from a long weekend in Bath and we stayed in this hotel.  Everything about our stay was perfect, the staff really can’t do enough for you, they really are very attentive.  It’s a lovely peaceful hotel, so if you like something a bit more busier this wouldn’t be for you, but the fact that your so close to Bath, your only 5-10 minutes away from all the action anyway, it doesn’t matter.  The breakfasts are amazing, the rooms are spotless and so welcoming.  10/10 without a doubt.  Thank you for making our stay so special. 🤗

Just Fantastic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming hotel.  The bedroom and bathroom were both very well equipped and tastefully furnished. The building is a gracious Georgian house and the interior design is charming.
The breakfast was delightful with lots of choice.  My creamy porridge was complemented by cranberries and raisins soaked in whisky!
Jeremy looked after us very well and makes a most gracious host.

An oasis of peace and tranquility

A beautiful old building in a great location with great amenities, the service provided by the staff Is 5*.The breakfast is included, The Eggs Benedict on the specials board was delicious. Highly Recommend!

My husband and I are frequent travellers either for business or pleasure. We’ve been to Bath multiple times, but this was a special occasion. 
It was my husbands birthday and I wanted to surprise him with a special place, that has a character. 
I was definitely not disappointed! 
First when I booked our stay they gave us an option to let them know what time we would arrive which allowed us to check in earlier. Once we got there the stuff were so friendly and welcoming. Showed us everything around the Hotel. 
The room was fabulous, spacious, clean and just as shown on the photos. In advance they knew it was a special occasion for us so they left a little note and gift for my husband (which was so sweet). 
The great night sleep was topped up by a delicious breakfast in the morning. You have the choice between Full English, vegetarian, special of the day or continental ... plenty of choice for anyone’s needs. 
Thank you Apsley House Hotel for having us and we will be back!

Fantastic! Must visit!

Stayed here for the weekend for my Birthday. We’ve stayed several times before & as we’ve come to expect, the welcome & customer service experienced from Kate & Milo is second to none. The house is absolutely gorgeous. So much effort has been put into making it an authentic Georgian house in every detail. The furnishings are magnificent. Stayed in the ‘Romantic’ room. Having tried quite a few different rooms during our stays, which are all nice, this one is my favourite. The breakfasts are superb. Lots of choice, with different specials each day. If you have any allergies & you let them know when you book, they will try & accommodate your needs. As it was my birthday, they presented us with a glass of Buck’s Fizz with our breakfast, which was very much appreciated. It’s approximately 30 mins walk through Victoria Park to get to the centre of Bath, which is a very pleasant walk. If you don’t want to walk, leave your car at the hotel & catch the bus, which very conveniently stops right outside. This hotel has 5 stars & it certainly deserves them. Definitely recommend it.


Magnificent House

Brilliant hotel! The staff was very kind, it is a beautiful location. The room was charming. 
The breakfast was as expected, amazing. Would definitely stay there again. 
It is 30min walk from the center of the city but you can access it easily by bus.

Amazing!

I stayed here solo and it was an incredible experience. The hospitality, the grounds, the rooms, everything was done in excellence and with kindness. Jeremy was great. I highly recommend staying here, great for any kind of romantic stay.

Amazing Stay!

From start to finish you could not ask for better service. 
We arrived around 6 pm and were met by Katerina(Kate) and Milo. The assitance in parking the car in the tight car park and taking our case to the room was very much appreciated. 
The room, Champange, was first class. Furnished with a large and very comfotable bed and also a  decent amount of storage space. The bathroom was excellent and the good size walk in shower was first class.
We were given good information by Kate about local buses and taxis. She also give us some worthwhile tips on an interestring  walk into Bath by the way of the Royal Victoria Park and along the impressive Royal Crescent.
After a good nights sleep even on a stormy night  their Breakfast Menu was first class. The young waitress was also excellent. The daily changed Breakfast Special was enjoyed on one occasion and the Traditional breakfast was superb in every way. There were several other items on this menu.
As this was a Birthday Weekend a bunch of Flowers were requested to be in the room. This fabulous bunch, see photo, was there in the room on our arrival.
This birthday was also regonised by the hotel.  When we returned to our room on the actual birthday night a selection of lotions and a bottle of Processco were Gift Bagged and left in the room.
A very thoughtful and greatly apprecited gesture.
Even without this unexpected gift  the service was superb and we wiil definately be returning.
Fully deserves its 5 Star rating.
