Absolutely brilliant few days spent at Roosecote Guest House. Mel and Stuart were great hosts and welcomed us before getting out of the car. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Mel’s breakfasts are amazing and the scrambled eggs went down a treat with our lot. Thank you for an amazing few days with you. Look forward to our next stay with you. Angela & family 

Great place to stay on our weekend away with family and friends. Everything was exceptionally clean and tidy. The owner was kind enough to let us use anything we needed as we basically had the whole house to ourself. 
Great experience and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Our last minute 4 night stay here was lovely, the hosts were a huge help with any of our requests and went above and beyond. We felt very welcomed and really enjoyed our stay, not only was the bed itself extremely comfy but the daily full English was also a real treat. I would highly recommend this guest house. We stayed here for two nights and what fantastic value for money! To start with we were given a lovely warm welcome. After we were shown to our room we made ourselves a cup of tea and sat in a lovely garden and just relaxed. The place is lovely and clean and very charming. Breakfast was really nice and plenty of choice. I would highly recommend this b&b and will definitely stay here again

Stayed at Roosecote guest house with two friends for a short break in the Lakes. The house was lovely, rooms are simply and nicely decorated and very clean. 

Full English breakfast was freshly prepared for us every day at a time we requested, with an additional choice of cereals etc. There was also a fridge, microwave, and toaster available to use. 

The two shared bathrooms were kept really clean even though all of the rooms were full, and the house and grounds in general was beautiful, with easy parking right outside. 

The owner was really helpful in recommending places to visit and checking we had everything we needed. It was a great base location to explore the Lake District. Would highly recommend a stay and hope to be back next year!

Upon arrival we got greeted from Mel, we arrived earlier than stated and Mel was very welcoming an gave us an informative tour, we had everything we needed in our room and towels was provided for the nice warm shower, there is also a deep bath if you prefer that, breakfast was lovely (full English) and cereals was provided if preferred, we went to south lakes safari zoo which was a 15 minute drive away and is so interactive with the animals then went to kapadokya turkish restaurant for our tea on the night time (about 4 miles away) and that was probably the best food I’ve had for years and would highly recommend, you’ve also got the beach just round the corner and all the views are amazing, would highly recommend and thanks for having us Mel

Mel was so accommodating, breakfast was either cooked or continental and very good. We opted for a cooked but could also help our selves to cereal, toast, jams, yoghurt, teas (different varieties) and juice whilst our breakfast was being cooked. The bathrooms are so clean and very nice, the shower was hot and the bath was a nice deep bath with bubble baths and shower gel provided. We had a fantastic stay and have booked for the Christmas week.

First Visit but will not be the last 
Mel was so friendly the room was very big ,large TV two large armchairs  view ok mel has 3 dogs never heard them  had a good night sleep  .breakfast lovely 
Only one thing more chairs outside to enjoy the peace

Great location, with a great host who ensured that I was both informed and made to feel very welcome, nice large room with loads of tea and coffee, only down side is that the room I had was not on-suite, unfortunately a change in plans meant that I missed breakfast, however the host (Mel)  packed me off with a lovely sausage sandwich (I hadn`t asked for one she`s just that thoughtful), would  stay again and happy to recommend.
