The Premier Inn was well placed for our stay.  The team at the hotel was very friendly and exceptionally thoughtful and nothing was too much trouble.  It's not a four star hotel, but it does what you need it to do; good night's sleep and a good shower; free parking and wifi.  Nice little touches for the children and a late night stop at reception for additional Yorkshire tea bags when we ran out in the room.  

Very convenient location

Stayed as a couple for one night.  The staff were friendly and helpful providing cool bottle water in the warm day.  Comfortable bed clean room.  Fan provided and on to assist with keeping the room cool and advised if we preferred just a sheet to let them know.  The whole hotel and restaurant looked clean and most likely will use again 

Convenient and comfortable stay

A hotel with an on-site restaurant that doesn't serve food. 

Bring a sandwich in a plastic bag, it'll come in handy if you don't want to go to bed hungry.

Great place to stay - good rooms, bed, restaurant and plenty of free parking. Easy access to M1 and A61. 

Premier Inn Sheffeld/Barrnsley

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The service was good. Our experience in the restaurant was quite different. We felt rushed and had to take drinks to our room as they closed at 10 pm. We have stayed many times before and the good and service was good. This time it was very different. After travelling 200 miles we don't want to have to drive again to find food. Not sure if it was the chiefs might off but the meals were very poor.
At breakfast I had to wipe the table and the chair was covered in bits.


Hotel good, good very poor

We stayed with grandchildren room was clean and warm plenty of towels etc. Staff went out of their way to be friendly and make the children’s stay enjoyable evening meal was lovely as was the cooked breakfast excellent value for money 

Night’s stay

The hotel is lovely, the staff are terrific.
Unfortunately during this visit, Storm Babette had unleashed biblical rain.
The Brewers Fayre where you would normally eat had a flooded kitchen, so no food.
Jackie gave the bad news out with professionalism, grace and humour.
In such a bad situation she was a total credit to the company and should be commended.

Most excellent staff 

We could not fault the people and team who work at Premier Inn, and as usual, we had a great night sleep because the mattress is just so comfortable. However, the general state of the building and facilities are getting rather tired. We did have a small issue with our room, which was resolved by great attention to detail and staff people skills, particularly a shout out for first class service from Darcie on reception and all her colleagues who helped us.  Thank you. In particular for the very kind gesture in our room after you sorted things out.

People and team-5 stars and above; infrastructure, getting tired

I left behind my wash bag and Jackie in reception offered to return it to me in the post. It arrived the next day.

What I didn't tell Jackie was that there was some vital medication in the wash bag. So thank you very much Jackie. You get 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐from me. 

Safe return of left behind item

Had my work vehicle broken into. Lost around £6000 worth of tools. This seems to be a major problem at this hotel. Premier inn need to make visitors aware of this problem.Tradesmen beware if staying at this hotel.
