We have just returned from our 33rd stay at Brantridge Park since Xmas 2008, and had booked for Xmas 2016 but have had our reservation cancelled as Brantridge has now been sold and will close permanently on 4th of December.

We will sadly miss staying there. I would compare Brantridge to a very elderly Dowager Duchess sitting in a corner, somewhat tired and careworn, living with the memories of past greatness but still reflecting signs of what had once been. Not everyone perhaps fully appreciated the positive aspects but it always provided comfortable hospitality and good value for money.

It always offered a warm, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere and the air of faded gentility was all part of its intrinsic charm.

The staff could not have been more helpful or supportive in meeting our requirements, sometimes and short notice and we felt we had become part of “the Brantridge family”. Unfortunately they now face a Xmas with some uncertainty.

Hopefully the new owners will breathe new life into the estate, which has always had considerable, if unrealised potential, and we wish them every success in its new incarnation.

There are probably no other properties in the area offering the same advantages.

Going, going,gone!

Not sure anybody except the unfortunate staff will care but this place is now being neglected, the staff have been decimated and the maintenance shows it
The rest of the staff are on notice and I think Dec3 is the closing date
Making the booking and making adjustments to the booking was simplicity itself, as was check in and check out, otherwise it is hard to find really good things to say
There was somewhere between zero and nothing in terms of wifi in the mews cottage(s), furniture was threadbare and well past supporting the weight of a human
I will not go on and on, this maybe of help to anyone planning a visit in November 

Now in neglected mode

If you're thinking of staying here, please don't. I'm not sure how anyone else has given this place a 4 star review. It's tired, dirty and the furnishings have holes in them. We paid £220 for a night and told them the standard of the room wasn't as expected and we weren't prepared to sleep there. When we left they said they would give us a full refund, however months on they have refused to do so. I never leave reviews, but feel compelled to do so on this occasion. Disgusting.
