Genial and interesting hosts with lots of stories to tell - there’s a book in there for sure. Homely, comfortable, and lovely full Scottish breakfast including haggis - a first. Hosts very accommodating about late check in after rail delays, recommended local places to eat and phoned ahead to ensure we got table.

I stayed for one night in the single room. The room was comfortable and also had an en-suite. There was a good selection of breakfast, which was all nice. The B&B is a 20-30 min walk to Balloch to visit Loch Lomond and also close to Alexandria station. Frank and Lorraine were very welcoming and helpful hosts and I would stay here again.

Welcoming and friendly

We booked in at the Sunnyside B&B for 2 nights as we drove into the offroad parking we said how lovely the accommodation looked and it really didn't dissapoint. Frank welcomed us in as a family and introduced himself and his wife Lorraine.
Frank showed us to our room which was lovely and clean.
They couldn't do enough for us. Frank even offered to pick us up from the train station if we were stuck. The breakfast was delicious full Scottish breakfast with unlimited toast ,tea and coffee .
We will definitely book again next time we travel to scotland.

Warm and welcoming

Lovely place to stay spotlessly clean, great breakfast and very nice welcoming host. Unfortunately only stopped 1 night but would stop here again when in the area without a doubt. Thanks for a welcoming nice stay. Robert

Lovely b&b

Upon arrival we were met by Frank who immediately made us feel welcome. He cracked a few jokes with the kids and explained the Covid rules, general details for our stay and how a fox had been visiting the garden over the past few days!

We arrived on an exceptionally hot and humid day so it was great to have a fan in our room, along with a very clean and comfortable room.

We wandered down to the local restaurant for dinner which was great and found the river route to Loch Lomond.

Breakfast; Scottish Oats and a full Scottish Breakfast was just what was needed to get us going for the day.

The B&B has a lovely theme throughout that showcases the life and interests of Frank and Lorraine, which they had great stories to share about. Most of all was the story behind the Piano, allowing our daughter to have a play and then having modest Frank playing some amazing music which has inspired our children. The little moments like this can make a big impact on a person and thanks to Frank, this will be a forever memory.

Lovely B&B with excellent hosts

Booked to stay one night. Now I wish we had booked longer. Here's the good.. arrived and parked in free car park. Were welcomed by Frank the owner. What a cracking guy. Took us through everything we needed to know. I asked if we could get a taxi to balloch. Got a taxi number. Frank informed us sometimes its hard to get one,if we couldn't he was happy to give us a lift . We did get one but that offer was lovely. Went to room. Extremely hot day. Fan was on and window open. Room had everything we needed. Went to balloch,had a nice walk and a few cheeky cocktails. As you do! Had a meal out and walked back. Sat outside for a bit before bed and had a wine which I brought in. Frank kindly gave me a glass. It was bliss siting in the nice cool garden which I have to say is lovely and so well kept. Had a fantastic sleep. Window wide. Fan on, very comfy bed. Breakfast. Well. What a feed. Hubby had the porridge,said it was tastiest he,d ever had. Both had full breakfast.  I couldn't eat all mine. Couldn't fault anything.now the bad.  NOTHING..... what a find. I will not hesitate to stay here again and I totally recommend.  Thank you Frank and Lorraine (you're breakfast was delicious)

Arrived at the b&b earlier than our check in both landlords greated us at the door with a lovely warm welcome check in went smoothly the rooms are quirky spotlessly clean with on suit shower room we where up for a  family wedding so we pretty much dumped our bags in and left the lovey landlord Frank very kindly gave us a lift back up to out wedding venue which was very much appreciated and really nice thing for him to do we got home pretty late so straight to bed slept well got up to lovely cooked Scottish  breakfast when managed to pick up a few wee tartan souvenirs as value for money goes it was spot on great wee place to stay pretty close to all amenities over all a great stay

Great stay

This is our third visit here and Frank and Lorraine are very welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable.  The breakfast is awesome as well. We have been here with different family members and always loved it. Would highly recommend. 

Welcomed like family

Not our first visit, definitely not our last. Warm welcome, as usual. Excellent comfortable room with en-suite, delicious breakfast, lots of choice in cereals, full Scottish meal, orange or apple juice, toast & marmalade or jam. Highly recommended. Already booked for next year's visits.

Friendly, exceptionally clean and tidy, welcoming.

The place was a cute one, with garden and one can see their collections inside. The parking was wide enough to accommodate guests’ car. The local style breakfast was fantastic. Happy to say that they really take care of their guests because we made a mess mailing them that we would arrive late, but ended up arriving earlier (we ended up disturbing their itinerary 🤦🏽‍♀️ but they drove back home as soon as they were able to in order to entertain us). They also recommended a nearby restaurant which served us delicious dinner and this resto provided us some discount as sunnyside bnb clients.
