Kamelot

Camelot is a cozy little hotel at the bottom of a forest-covered hill. The area is not large but perfectly arranged, full of lush green trees and lawns. There is a swimming pool, a tiny pond with water lillies and a playground. Beside the main building there are several bungalows with terraces and hammocks. On the territory of the hotel there are two restaurants serving European and local cuisine (the latter is highly recommended). My family stayed in the main building styled as a medieval castle. On the walls of the lobby and corridors there are photos of numerous celebrity guests. I hadn't realized this place was so popular. We were quite happy with our room - spacious and clean. The facilities we had were an air-conditioner, a fridge, a TV and an extra sofa. The double bed was comfortable, the linen was wonderful. For me there was just one drawback - a lack of balconies in the main building. It would certainly be great to have one to breathe fresh air. Also we had a minor problem in the bathroom which was promptly fixed. On the whole it's a wonderful place for a peaceful rest.The price is reasonable. The hotel staff is really amiable and polite. The level of service is European. The food is delicious. The only demerit is there is not much to do for the kids. One of few kinds of entertainment is a swimming pool with cold water from the mountain river flowing underneath. It is quite small and not really fit for adults, though deckchairs around are comfortable. Still the nature around is great, the air is fresh, the hotel is in a remote area far from the crowd but still only 9 km away from Uzhgorod, the central city of the Transcarpathian region. All this was enough to make me happy.
