Another review that was overdue so I had to travel back, alongside my partner, mum, dad, and sister, this time for a surprise birthday dinner. Every single member of the staff deserves a Clef d'Or, and the Proprietor, who also serves as the General Manager, must be called a wizard. Our weirdest, last-minute requests were immediately accommodated as if they were the simplest things to do. Stray animals and the property's pets alike are well kept and fed, and most are really friendly to guests. The property is on both sides of a lively pedestrian-only street, and in more than one instance we witnessed passers-by singing along live music or deciding on the spot to have dinner there. The food is spectacular, and so is dessert and drinks. What first looks like higher-than-average rates prove themselves to be really modest, given the service quality. Suffice it to say that La Maison has become reason enough, by itself, to visit Yalıkavak. I tip my hat to you, Deniz Hanım and her crew.
