Patong Eyes Hotel

This was our first trip to Thailand and we stayed at the hotel Patong Eyes for 2 weeks in January. Our first impressions of the hotel was of the friendly staff – the friendliest hotel staff we’ve ever experienced – they couldn’t do enough for you. Whatever you need to make your stay more comfortable, they will accommodate – you only have to ask. They can arrange taxis, scooter or car hire, airport transfers, trips/excursions etc. As this was our first time in Thailand, the very knowledgeable Daniel explained the various trips on offer, which was helpful in selecting something suitable for us. Our room was rear-facing so the view was of the lovely green hillside and it was nice and quiet. It was cleaned to a very high standard every day and fresh towels provided every day. It was a comfortable room, with flat-screen TV and mini-bar with snacks (price list provided). Fresh beach towels were available every day in the reception area, which was a really nice touch. The hotel is situated approx. 20 mins walk away from the main town on a fairly busy road. We found it easier to travel by taxi or tuk-tuk, to avoid walking in close proximity to the traffic, but taxi fares were only the equivalent of £5 wherever you wanted to go anyway. There are also plenty of bars and places to eat close to the hotel too, if on occasion we didn’t fancy going into the busy town. We really enjoyed our stay at Patong Eyes and will definitely be returning, hopefully next year. One word of warning....don't challenge Daniel to a Bush Tucker Trial because he'll take you up on it!
