got in very late, checked in. There was some confusion about the booking, but it was fine in a few minutes. Hotel room was nicer and more comfortable then expected.

1 NIGHT STAY

They offered shuttle from the airport. Even thought I reminded them the day before our arrival, they "forgot".The wifi is only in the lobby, not in the rooms.

The man at the reception was nice and helpful.

- Quite a distance from the City Centre.
- The place is quiet and the rooms were clean. Staff friendly but not professional. Not everything on the menu is available. Ate rice and chicken or chips and chicken. They had wonderful juice though.

Hi Safina Hotel.

You have a lovely hotel and you have potential to do more to improve a few things:

- improve your breakfast options
- wireless (wifi) signal does not work well in rooms sometimes
- tv channels (mostly super sport) could use with a little local variety and news (CNN, BBC and others)

Othewise the place is perfectly clean, staff extra friendly and place nice and quite for resting.

For the price offered give it more of a personal touch.

You have potential to do more.

The rooms are comfortable and the staff mostly willing & helpful. However during the two weeks I was there, the restaurant was consistently (always!!) out of stock of most things. They never had more than a couple of options, despite the lenghty menu. What they did have was well prepared, but very tedious having same food every day. This is where location is an issue - because the hotel is not in easy walking of many good options. Instead I started bringing in food from a supermarket to relieve the monotony!! It's a pity because if they could sort this it would be good. I spoke with manager at the time and they promised immediate improvement - but in the remaining 8 days the situation did not change.

Good rooms but very poor restaurant

Where do I start?

The receptionist was not aware of our booking on Hotels.com. 

She went on to allocate the kids room the other side of the landing / stairwell and lift from our room. The stairwell had no working lights. The hotel layout is far from kid-friendly.

Our TV didn't work ... they didn't seem to care too much - I suggested they swap the TV from another room - that fell on deaf ears

No towels, no toilet rolls

Shower is a cheap Chinese thing that randomly sprays water everywhere, shower doors fall off runners meaning floor gets soaked, water is either scalding hot or cold. All tap/shower/toilet fittings are dirty, shower drain spewing black slime from below.

Breakfast - it is akin to visiting someone's house where nothing is ready, we are all forced to eat cornflakes and drink tea; plates/cups taken away without asking if we had finished ....

hotels.com says the hotel has a bar - not true, it is a dry hotel

The hotel building is in a great location, suitably sized, but the interior is falling apart and the place is managed by staff who were friendly but unskilled

not a great experience

Nothing that was offered was there. Bad location, they forgot to send the shuttle to pick up , nothing in the room, wifi only in certain spots of the Lobby and hardly worked. In brief, not good at all.

I will keep it short. If you are a backpacker and don't expect clean rooms, service, and english talking staff, this cheap hotel i the middel of nowhere will fit you Well. 

If you don't fit that profil, find something else.

I was very disappointed, nothing was like the pictures or the description.


Worst ever.

We booked and paid for the hotel on Hotels.com. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was very rude. He denined that we had paid, and said that the hotel was full booked.They did not want to borrow us their WIFI, so we could contact hotels.com.A very bad experience, the rest of the staff just laught at us when we left.Don't Pick this Hotel, there are 100 of other good hotels in Dar.Hotels.com was very helpfull and we Got our money back.
